Still on sabbatical, and yes, still having fun with CoH. It's SO much easier to log in, accomplish something, then log out and have an external life. You know, OUTSIDE. It's that place you go when you're forced away from the game. There's a sun in RL just like in the game and everything. Shhh, don't say anything but there's also girls, pretty ones. I KNOW!!! :P

Now that my roommate is gone, I don't have someone begging me for everything I own and wasting all my in-game time, so who knows. Having your own, personal, in-house vampire can take a lot of enjoyment out of a game like FFXI. Perhaps Khaelus will venture forth to protect people from harm once again. Then again, he COULD be re-incarnated in a galaxy far, far away, if you catch my drift. ;)

I appreciate the offer on the LS, I know you have some great people in it. To be honest, I would rather just not have one, and have an exceptional friend's list, like I do now. I've been offered membership in quite a few, from brand new to high level, and have respectfully declined.

I didn't get your message on POL yet Burli, but I did have a lot of them. If you ever want to check out CoH, hit me up. ;)

I thought you were still playing FFXI? When did you stop to play something like that? lol Well, I suppose it IS pretty challenging to have fun fighting the same 6 mob types for about 60 levels in the game.

Worthwhile is VERY arguable. I found helping people to be more worthwhile than anything else. Most of my leveling PLD was trying to help friends who needed a good tank. After taking MNK to 30 to open advanced jobs, I saw a SERIOUS vacuum in the tank department, especially after tanking AS a MNK.

Tell everyone who matters I said hi, if anyone is left.

Burli the only thing challenging for a PLD is arguing with the WARs and explaining how we didn't steal their job. :)

Oh and the occasional fighting off people who want you to join there party when doing something.

-Attempted Titan again. This is the third time I went. He wiped the floor with my dead arse. He reminds me of a schoolyard bully...

Later today...

-Attempted Ifrit for the first time. Won. :D
-Leveled WHM to 32
-Attempted Leviathan for the first time (3 hours later after ifrit, lol). Won. :D

This leaves me with Ramuh and Titan left. Garuda and Shiva were obtained through full group battles. However, I would probably like to solo them one day on my summoner just for kicks. Got a fork collection to complete now. :)

Briefly, here's how I did it: I used the 3-searing light method. I sacrificed 1-2 carbuncles at the very beginning, each time attacking, then running to the next bend. Yagudo drink, astral flow, (resummon carby if required, attack + searing light) x 3. I went for evasion+hp food & gear instead of MP. Seemed to work for me. :)

This method was a combination of what Ghelanna (thank you!) tried, and what I saw read/through in the first few pages of the summoner forums. Thanks guys. :)

It was ok--the defense increased to 112 or so after Protects were cast. (From 74ish) I'd like to think I took about half the damage that I would've with just my normal gimpy protect I.

Anyways yesterday was dull. Stuck in Eldieme getting papyrus. I'm here weekly it seems. The final one was fomr someone who had to go, so we told him to stick around and we would warp him. We got the final one...we all pass and guess what?

His inventory was full /sigh.

I got to come back...over and over again. Now to do coffer hunts...ah well skill up party. >.>

Well that changes everything

Well I haven't posted what I've been up to in here for a loooong time.

Recently it's been mainly levelling, Ninja is up to 64 and I'm enjoying it a stupid amount, it's great to be back to the job I love. Monk is at 62, I level it whenever I get the chance.

Levelled Woodworking to 10, Levelled Thief to 31.. um, did an avatar run last saturday, Got killed by 1200+ Damage two hours three times in a row, but still managed to beat all Avatars, thanks to Zephir being an awesome Thief tank

Not much else to say really, see you all in game.

I had a dream last night that I was my ninja, my roommates Jag and Gaspar were their black mage and paladin, respectively. Pyscal was his dark knight and Garro was his warrior. There were zombies running around out in my neighborhood and Garro came from down South to form a skill up dream team with us in Missouri.

We all formed up and I went out to skill up Great Katana off some zombies... That's really all I remember. It was pretty messed up.

I ran Vana'Diel Bench 3 for the first time last night. My PC is Very Tough I guess.

It's kind of frightening and hypnotic at the same time to see so many of those Tarutaru in Bison gear.

The preview makes me want to get further into the CoP story (currently only completed Promyvion-Dem)

Dark side aint that bad, health plan could be better.

Today all I did was xp for 4hrs and only got....... 5k. Im somewhat disapointed.
