Hello everyone. I was curious if there are any HNMLS based in the Eastern Timezone that are currently recruiting. Well any HNMLS to be honest. Currently only able to bring a 75WHM to the table, working on BLM to follow. Never been apart of a LS dedicated to something other than social/chat so a LS who doesn't mind a "n00b" would be fantastic. Thanks in advanced!

Well not having Sky or Sea access probably narrows my search down a bit :P I'm primarily interested in taking down mobs like Vrtra, Behemoth and the like. Although I am very interested in gaining access to Sky to experience god fights.

Also cross WD and probably AM as well... I actually don't think there is a HNMLS that does ground HNM without doing sea and sky...

Probable the only endgame stuff you can do atm is Dynamis...

I didn't know WD was est based only seen them at one hnm and at jol once. AM does camp turtle post maint, when I have seen them. Empyreal also broke, so can cross them off.

Getting the missions done should be a priority in the game even you are not interested in NMs.

And it takes no special LSs to do it. Just need a decent LS and friends; you will find having a decent LS and friends are far more important than having the nicest gear you can get in the game.

The storylines are reason enough. If you want fast gear with minimal effort, FFXI is the wrong game for you.

Usually a well formed (with good rules and people) younger end game LS are mostly likely closest to have all three quantities together. They are motivated by having a bunch of friends come together hopefully get together to get stuff for each other.

It gets a lot more complicated when the LS gets older and more "developed" Smiley: oyvey as people joined up with only the third part in mind but not in the first two.

I do have a somewhat more "socialist" view that I am taking out some growth speed for being happy and stable. May be this is reason why I never seem to progress too much in terms of achievements, but in the end is achievements more important or being happy and argument-free in the game more important? I will let you decide.

May be I am too much a fan of Dave Thomas? Man, I love those Wendy ads. He is like my hero how to be rich, happy and respectable the same time.

I think I may have been misunderstood. I was only seeking which direction would be best for me to go in, whilst being interested in be apart of a group who gets to fight some of the coolest mobs in the game. As far as getting missions done and getting access to aforementioned areas, I seem to never be online at the right times to be apart of them. Perhaps bad luck is all. I have a strong desire to complete every mission for sake of viewing the amazing story line. So much so that when I can't get things together for bigger/tougher missions, I will go out and solo any events I can to progress during the downtime. Sadly there isn't a whole lot someone with only a WHM at 75 can do by himself. I suppose I'll keep doing what I'm doing and when the time comes to get it done, it'll just come. Also I most definitely do not take this game for granted. Getting gear fast, least amount of effort and time, FFXI this is not. Being rewarded for the hard work you've done is what makes me love this game so much. As far as having a decent Link Shell goes, when I first started playing this game almost 4 years ago I was given a Utopia (not Utropia for you veteran RMT MPKers) pearl. That LS was my home for the majority of my career in this game until drama flat out killed it in the face. Joined an other LS after that only to have it succumb to the same fate. Is there not a LS who is immune to being destroyed by this? Which brings me back to why I started this thread in the first place. To seek out a LS who could utilize my WHM skills to benefit their team and help further my experience in the game together while having the most fun possible. Now I must apologize for turning this in to a huge rant, I only felt I should explain the nature of my original post and where I stood when I wrote it. Thank you for the replies everyone!

I want this job but I don't have any qualifications, can't even get into your building, and I've never even seen any of this before, but I'm perfect for the job! Really!

I think it is the responsibility for the person (people) who wants to do them to organize them. Most of these missions do not require any special set up, and it is not really hard to do. The basic rule is literally show up with food, may be some potions, and basic equipment, and you are ready to go.

I seriously laughed hard at that! Made me realize I'm an idiot, but laughed none the less!
