Ok now I've been refused entry to 2 GMT LS because of my 'colourful reputation'. Would someone care to tell me what this damn repuation is? Cos I have no clue.

May be you should ask the leaders themselves?

I do not know you, so I cannot comment on you.

And no, camping Argus and standing AFK is not cheating. It may be possible you have angered other people there by saying things that are no needed, or simply the people you camped against there happens to be in the LSes that you want to join, and they lack class. But there is no way I can back my word that, :P so just ignore that.

I do tend to show distaste who camp NM show little class. If someone shows up where camping a NM one wants, just shut up and continue, and even better -- congratulate them if they claim it and get the drop. Sometimes I know people are bitter if they lose claim (it is understandable that happens), so I have no problem people walk away and not saying a thing after you are "done," but at least one should not talk trash.

When I was camping Argus I did afk alot, but I was always poilte. When someone else claimed it I clapped them on and said gl, and when mine finally dropped I did a little dance and warped, giving ToD to a guy who had been there longer than me but missed the spawn that day. I tried asking why the LS leaders, one of them, Jogiyat, was fine with me but said it was a member in the shell who didnt want me. Tried asking her and I got nothing lol. The other ls just sorta blanked me after I asked what my reputation is.

Sometimes it is indeed hard to balance the interest and opinion among different LS members... especially LSs like Joyigat's one. I am not sure should I say, but I will probably safe to say any of such LSs will have some politics involve. Sometimes LS leader(s) even may personally like you, they do not want more trouble or the potential for that in their LS.

There is a thread in end game thread about how sucky to run such a LS. A big part of end game is unfortunately is item greed, drama, and E-Peen.

I would not say that the other LS brush you off your application is due to reputation. Often they just do not need another member, getting too much members are not often a good idea.

One thing: you will be surprising how well a small but good teamwork and competent group can achieve. You need 18 people to get good gear is an urban legend. And it is also a myth that you needed the best gear in the game :P Remember when someone try to E-Peen you a Ridill, you also had not stand in front of DA to stare at Darters for you-do-not-know-how-long.

I blame the government! ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!

Seriously though, could be as simple as a personal vendetta or classless players as Ama suggested. Only thing you can do, and take this from someone who had to learn the hard way (see Good Bye FFXI thread), it's best to just roll with the punches, not be an ***, and do your thing..

The LS that brushed me off (Not Jogi's) was shouting for members in WG ._. And specifically said it was my 'colourful reputation' /sulk. I dont even want the damn gear XD I just wanna fight something new for once. I havent even fought all the gods in sky yet. Just the turtle, the tiger and the bird.. im sure theres one more I havent fought. Never SEEN Kirin lol.

Thanks for not turning this thread into a 'F you, stop whining and stfu' thread, which is what I was half expecting tbh lol. Nice to know some people dont know who I am >.> means I'm not THAT notorious then.

Edit: Btw I posted in your thread major lol knew you years back.

I personally will avoid shouted LS recruitment unless it is from a very reputable player. I think you will have better chance to deal with a reputable player. However established groups and players tend to will have more competition for stuff, but I don't think you will have a problem for "seeing Kirin" soon with a reasonable group. (And Kirin will get old :P , trust me, the best part of it is the first few time you touch it).

Sorry for derailing your thread Diamond. I don't know you personally, but I read some of your threads on the monk boards and your cool in my book. Good luck finding a LS you can call home. Ever need a hand with something, send me a tell in game.

If you really want to people think you are serious and believable, talk as one. You can probably convince some people that you are once again believable and make them willing to talk to you. However, you don't convince them by calling them "retards," you convince them reasonable language and behavior.

It really does suck to run an endgame LS, and the bigger and more random people in the LS, the worse is it.

Since coming back, I've formed a small endgame LS, that's 95% friends, with a couple people that were interested in it that I did not know, but gave a chance.
We're having a lot of fun, we are easily able to low-man the things we do when we don't have an alliance, and it's 100% easier to manage a small group of people that aren't drama-laden or gear whores.

I have a zero tolerance policy, one infraction and you're kicked forever, I guess that's why I'm so hostile towards people like Drakenmaster, I don't have time to deal with petty crap, and I feel sorry for anyone that does.

I myself is a big believer of small groups and independent LSs for different events. It is much easier to organize, and so much less people to deal with. I also believe static and LS recruitment is best done by word of mouth and direct contact.

Six people can do amazing things in this game. Unless you are doing Dynamis with aggressive hopes, you do not even need more than 18 people.

Unfortunately, it is often some players get too greedy and lazy to organize, it creates really large LS with way too much events. I will never ever join a LS that will 40 people LS with leaders brag about how colorful is their event menus. May be I am just too easy to please, but I think one will make oneself happier if one is patient, and does not have too much desire -- Buddha is correct:p

Buddah is indeed correct. XD

My LS has a very small schedule, and events are kept relatively short for the most part, which works well for us.

None of us are in any hurry to "finish FFXI" and it's so nice to see people congratulating and cheering people on when they get something, instead of whining and crying about not recieving it.

Another thing this affords me, since you don't need a lot of people to win anything, is the ability to remove anyone that causes any remote drama or problems, a right which I execute without hesitation. (Only happened once, and that's another story)

Truthfully you need to stop and move on.

I know a way that McCain, Clinton and Obama to get themselves lose the primaries within 24 hours: calling every other candidate as a ****** (or vulgar insult of your choice) in public.

Darn right!

I've been doing the same thing for about a year now... No excessive members, no mandatory events, no drama. Referral only to join (for the most part)... quality over quantity, and a high success rate on anything we try. Low-man is by far the best way to go.

You are right. I have been stalking you and I insulted you by saying you are retarding up the forums. I didn't, however, call you a ****** directly... pretty sure people that read here don't need that pointed out to form their own opinions about you. :D

I will stop stalking you immediately!!!!! /stalkoff There. It's done.
