Please don't help this person in any way. He is an item thief who stole a mercurial kris from a buddy of mine. He did end up giving it back after about 2 weeks of GM investigation but the point remains the same. Please don't let a scum like this prosper by helping him out with his synths.

Jesus my head hurts just trying to read that.

The reason people ask for "like 20k for 3 sec of their time" is because they spent millions of gil and TONs of time leveling that craft, so that they could turn a profit.

You don't go to the car wash and expect it to be free because "it's just water", do you?

It is a scary that quite a bit of people -- even quite "old" ones -- do think like that.

but ya anyway that knife i took cuz ur bud disrespected me

You basically admitted what Thelan said is true, and show the middle finger to everyone saying you do not care what you do in the game.

Just so everybody knows, there was no "disrespect" done whatsoever.

Granted it was a fairly naive move made by my friend.... what happened was that Drakenmaster wanted to borrow my friend's Mercurial Kris to try it out in an exp pt they were in together. My friend ended up agreeing and traded him the kris then Drakenmaster fake DC'd out of the game. When he came back he went straight into town claiming "Once you trade, it's over. You agree to give the item to the person".

A friend of his told him to give the knife back? Lies upon lies spewing out of your mouth don't somehow make them true no matter how much you try. You said you were given the choice between suspension from the LS or giving the knife back. So either you were lying to me or you're lying to the whole alla community. Take your pick and try to figure out which one makes you worse, but you're still a liar and a thief.

I don't know where he gets off saying my "bud disrespected" him, but once again, please don't help a scum like this guy prosper.

P.S.= Honestly... don't you think you deserve SOME "disrespect" if you stole an item?

Hey, it's Thelan! How goes?

Anyhow, I am truely amazed this stuff still happens in the game.

I remmember back in early 2004, someone in your party sees you had O.kotes (very rare to have them when few players were over 40 yet). They would beg and plead wanting to try them on "just to see how I look" or "just to see how much more DMG I do".

For some reason people replied "lol ok, try em out!". They were almost always stolen, GMs and LS' got invovled, and it was just never worth it. This kind of thing was rampant in the early days of the game.

People accused me of being "selfish" and "paranoid" about lending gear out to TOTAL STRANGERS. I don't care if "we partied once"... I have only ever lent out gear to LS members who had proven themselves over time to be trustworthy.

I think GM now has some power to interfere such things now (they used to be not doing this) as that is considered grieving. I would have called GM immediately. Original poster can get a GM warning or even suspension for that.

Regardless, glad the knife was returned. Original poster just showed his own true color in this thread.

In some sense, people should not have to be "paranoid" (may be excessive defensive a better term) about stuff in the game, if people would show some class in the game. Forcing to be excessive defensive and that you have to watch out too much, reduce the value of the game. It is a vicious cycle that just a few people decide that it is ok to mess with people with the Internet, and decide that they need to move ahead of others by whatever means.

No offense meant, but that's why I don't loan anything out, nor give anyone my login information.

Glad the person got the M.Kris back though, alls well that ends well, but I hope your LS leaders keep a close eye on this guy. From my experience, situations like this have a way of repeating itself.

I do loan things out, but that is to very close LS members and friends only. It is sometimes hard to not to sometimes, but there is no way I will lend gear out to someone in a pickup PT.

May be I am too idealized sometimes... On one hand, I know people pull off the worse BS in the game; on the other hand, I do try to be nice. It all begins when Adam decide to pick the apple, and everything just unfold from there:P

Drakenmaster actually has a FFXIAH profile registered with a link to his LS name. It is not a LS I am familiar with (except from Pies, and certain members of Captain Caveman and Bladesingers), I do not really know much people nowadays >_<), but I guess his leader should be informed what have happened.

I can't say that I've never loaned anything out, but its either something really cheap (that I don't mind being stolen) to close friends, or to people that I know IRL who play, so I can drive to their house and beat em up ^^.

I think Thelan said that the LS leaders were informed, so it's up to them to do what they see fit about it.

I have absolutely zero-tolerance in my LS, which I'm sure some people can argue, but I don't like dealing with any degree of drama.

The LS leader, Jcr, was actually informed of this a day or two after the incident. After a long conversation he pretty much told me to bug off saying this is just a game and refused to do anything about it. Some of his LS mates, who shall remain nameless, cheered Drakenmaster on.

I tracked down Jcr to be in Nerfed so I spoke to Kix (who was very cooperative) about the whole thing. I don't know if Kix talked to Jcr or not, but it seems to have all worked out in the end.

I have a very hard time believing that the same LS leader actually told Drakenmaster to either give the item back or be suspended from LS. If he did, good for him, but this two-faced attitude seems very unbelievable.

Didn't really like being involved this much with the incident but my friend is French and his English is moderately understandable at best, so someone had to step in and speak for him.

I can't tell anyone how to run their LS, but it's sad that leaders can choose to ignore a thief, and it's even worse that Drakenmaster is being encouraged to act like this.

But, he's not in my LS, and hopefully he won't be invited to any of my friends LSs, if he is I'll be sure to pass this thread along to them.

The few times I ran into Kix, Kix had been well and polite speaking.
