I was in Fan Fest. The event was great, but I was really disappointed by one thing. There were so little Cerberus people teamed up together. I did not see Cerberus team photos, and people are scattered all over -- I partially take the "blame" myself, I did hang out with my Carbuncle server RL friends ><, but I did not really see much group efforts from Cerberus. At the end of Fanfest some Cerberus players were noting big group pictures from other server, and we Cerberus folks were just at a corner. I only recognize so little Cerberus folks out there too -- two (plus one, I will leave open what that means).

Come on troops! Orange County was supposed to something like a RL FFXI Homecoming. We can do better! Show yourself some Cerberus pride!

My wife (Mrs. Bean/Aideen) and I hung around the Cerberus table during lunch on Saturday. I saw some friends there, but I must have missed you (saw your sig on the placecard ;) ).

I am not going to say what LS and players are involved, but certain NA and Japanese players had set a bad precedent in inter-player relationship among high levels. And hence a lot of bad blood or a$$-licking among the high levels. I still try to avoid and defuse flame wars -- it does not really do much good in defusing the bad blood among people.

Some long time players do remain as warm as in the past. There was a big hug from Shabet in the Fanfest ^_^. Good job for shining for Cerberus in Fanfest :P. I wish I can make costumes :(

Tell them to have the next Fanfest in the Midwest. I know I would be there with bells on.

It was indeed quite expensive to go out to Orange County, but I needed a vacation for a little while.

The whole point of this post is not really about praising or ranting about Fanfest. But it is indeed quite a bit of "jealousy" (I think that there is a better word than a such negative term, "stare in awe, but with no ill will"?) that the spirit of other fans from other servers seem to be higher and more united.

May be I am, what Chinese called "dog at the doors", look and treat outsiders better, but Cerberus can certainly do better in a lot of things. People actually I know that have left Cerberus have been raving how much greener the grass out there, of course such people would not have left if something was kind of wrong here or there is RL friends in other servers. Quite a bit of my Cerberus friends are what really keep me here. I would like to thank those people who have my online experience mostly enjoyable.

Well I know VF had quite few people at FF... old and new LS peeps... so I hope they were some of the ones that were social! I know at least one was a "mercenary" so not sure how much he got to be social... but the rest should have been meeting and greeting and since we are not a stuck-up or "leet" HNMLS!! LOL!! :-)

they should merge cerberus with another server because it is not very populated compared to other servers.

O.o

So we should double the lag, ppls camping NMs, raise AH prices... etc?

Nah I will pass on the merge. Keep the people off Cerberus! :-)

Cerberus is indeed quite small compare to other servers - I have mules on other servers. In fact, I had actually thought about switching servers.

Thank you to Pies and my friends. Cerberus would have been very different if there are not there. Friends give me a place to avoid all those crap happen in Cerberus. May be it is me, or it is other people, I do tend to get along with people who actually try to make FFXI not a struggle or a grind, but actually treat FFXI as a game for leisure.
