Diablos Prime or Promy Vahzl (fight only)Follow

thought I'd give it a shot and toss my name out there...

I just need the fight portion of Promy Vahzl since I did it 4 times and died each time. (no climb needed) I can take WHM or SMN


Diablos Prime I have WHM/SMN 75 for this fight and would really like the last of my superfriends for my SMN 58

RDM/DRK (/BLM,/WHM,/SMN,/WAR,/NIN,etc.) at your service if you need me to help with Diabolos. I am 0/5 on it

And for Vhazyl, WAR, RDM, WHM. I need to go there for the map quest and would be happy to help ^^

Key is you HAVE TO have a RDM/DRK who can 2 hour.... Chainspell/Stun, get pulled in, continue to Stun til CS wears off, and hopefully by then the fight is over! Dear sweet Diablos won't even be able to get off a Nightmare. Done it several times like that and never lost!

Ah Diabolos, how many times have I died to him....lost count lol From what I saw during my 10+ shots before actually winning is to try and save your 2h until he gets to 50%, that's when he really goes mad.

We kept loosing to nightmare near the end when my 2h would end until we tried something different. We tried manually stunning (we had both DRK and RDM/DRK) until he got to half life and then I used chainspell stun to lock him down until the end. Worked a lot better imo because he couldn't go mad at the end ^^

Wow I forgot to check back on this thread. And now I see some of my favorite people ever posted here! (<3 Alii and Maera <3)

First point of order: Mattea, grats on Vazhl!! If you need some help with 3 paths let me know. I just went through it myself (a couple times actually) and I am very familiar with it. I can bring my Monk or my Summoner. In some kind of twisted way, I actually found 3 paths kind of fun. I got it with basically pick-up parties, but I got very lucky to get some really cool people together for these fights (/wave Algren)

Now as to Diabolos: yes, they did nerf the whole disband/draw-in technique. As far as I understand, even if, for instance, the White Mage disbands the party and tries to heal from the top platform, he/she will still get drawn-in. It kinda sucks.

I was on those 10 runs with Maera. Starting Friday night, we spent the entire weekend trying to get it and on Sunday night we finally won. We had a pretty unconventional setup (Mnk, Sam, Whm, Whm, Rdm, and i think a Blm?) But everyone who said that Rdm/Drk chainspell stun is the key is right on the money.

Second most important is the Whm. On the time we won (and the 3-4 times we got him down to like 0.09021% but wiped) not only was Chainspell Stun the deciding factor, but a timely Benediction was as well. The only reason we didn't win those 3-4 time before is because he is a big ole bastid and cheats all the time. But if you keep at it, eventually luck will run your way.

I recently returned to the game after an almost 6 month break. I had tried this guy and Fenrir a few times with friends last fall. I believe I died 3 times on Fenrir and 3 Times on Diabolos before we decided our setup needed too much tweaking. Being that I'm a Dragoon...I think my only hope of actually Getting Diabolos is to reply to this thread >.< and by the grace of all things awsome get a reply.

I'd love to get this guy and the mutt since I've decided I wanna work on my summoner now. I play on Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday nights after 6PM, I can also be on for Friday/Sunday nights anytime if I get a message before hand, I usually just don't log in due to TV/Games/friends.

Here's to hoping a Drg could get asked to do Diabolos Prime *crosses his fingers*
