A "Mature" LSFollow

#1 May 15 2007 at 9:45 AM Rating: Decent
Are you new to the game, just comming back, or looking to level the ranger job you've been ignoring? Would you like to be rank 5+ but can't seem to find the help to get the missions done? Have you been booted from your LS for some adult language? Do you enjoy a dirty joke? Do you like Mind of Mencia, The dave Chapelle Show, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, or George Carlin? Well, I may have the Link shell for you.

The ShoalinBrotherhood is currently accepting new members. I'll point out, if you are easily offended by adult humor, or your parents will not approve, then we are not your first choice for an LS.

However, we have a lot to offer the open minded liberal. Not only do we offer an open minded casual chat forum, but we also boast the ablility to help those of all levels and areas of interest.

We have nearly thirty regular visitors who are in the 10-40 level range in a wide variety of jobs. At least two of our founders have finished all available dynamis missions and been a part of defeating Jailer of Love. Added to their experience, we have several members boasting multiple level 75 jobs and whom hold a like philosophy of helping others achieve their in game goals.

We invite you to check out the public portion of our LS website to find out more about us.

If you like what you see and hear, please send Vegetaspride, Phyrefly or Duhkha a tell and we can set you up with a pearl.

Here are a few things you should know:

1. Do not use hate language toward someone you don't have a RL relationship with. (a couple of members are "BEST FRIENDS" and occasionally get carried away) Please make sure, if you are tossing a little bad language at your RL friend, to tell the LS that that is the case. Like I said, we are adult and tolorant, but we won't be real happy if it is N-word this and N-word that all the time.

2. If you are uncomfortable with someone or something on the LS, please /t one of our officers before you just leave. Sometime an LS isn't the right fit, and sometimes there is simply a misunderstanding. We perfer to continue productive relationships with those who leave if the LS is not the right fit. Communication is key to this goal.

3. We are a liberal shell. That doesn't mean we are closed to other ideas, but rather that a "conservative" might find themselves overwhelmed should such topics come up in chat.

4. We do not have "mandatory events" and are mostly a social and assistance LS.

5. We are not really "Mature" so much as immature. The Word Mature is more like the TV rating or R rating for a movie. LOL, it might even get an NC-17 sometimes.

What do we do?

Rank Missions
COP (occasionally)
XP parties
crafting support and Advice
gardening support and advice
teach gil earning methods
have fun
"shoot the ****" for the fun of it

What could get you booted?

RMT transactions are banned. Anyone known for this activity will not only be kicked, but reported. This is one thing we have a zero tolorance policy on. However, we do follow, "Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt."

Directly hazing any member after being asked to stop.

Cheating. You'd know if you do this or not.

Current Sack Holders I know of...there are others too...

Vegetaspride - Leader
Phyrefly
Duhkha

We have between 8 and twenty people on most of the time.

We currently have a friend relationship with CaptainCaveMan. A few LS members are active members of CaptainCaveMan.

wow.....
Wat a huge rip off of my topic,it even just now starts "accepting new members" lol.

Well you do have the member support, and the experience.

Are their linkshell to linkshell alliances? lol

We are working on a couple of official LS relationships ATm. They are kinda politcal, but we have a lot of cross over with one famous LS. I am not at liberty to say which at the moment. They are careful who they ally with and therefore we have to wait for their public acceptance.

Actualy, your post, though I admit it is related, had little to do with my post. Vegetaspride (LS Leader) authorized broad recuiting yesterday and that is why I posted the opening. Sorry to "steal your flame," but it really wasn't intentional.

For our current goals and needs, Alliances won't be too important anyway until we have a larger percentage of members at higher levels. Currently, we have enough people to make dual parties/Alliances when they are necessary. You'd be welcome and should give us a try. Thanks to people like Vegetaspride who have played for several years, we have good ties with many veteran players and a wide variety of Link Shells.

I will point out, we are perdominately a social shell that focuses on helping to grow the skill of new players. That's why I said that COP is a less common event in our LS. Hope this is helpful.

I'll drop you a line sometimes... I need a LS where I can actually go: "Aw ****." if I need to. Smiley: lol

Plus I've been out of the game for a while, and my linkshell, my home linkshell that I have have been a part of since day one, is pretty much dead Smiley: cry

We like to think of our LS as "Your Virtual Couch". Feel free to join, plop down, tell a dirty joke and participate in the occasional, non-mandatory, event.
