Monty Python's ain't got nuthin on my quest...Follow

So last night I come home and log in to find the delievery box and AH still under maintenance. I think to myself I'm glad I have 20 prism powders to do the warp II quest since the AH is closed. I leave Jeuno on chocobo and choco straight to the Ranguemont Pass. Just as I get to the entrance of the tunnel, I find a 30 rdm that requests my help in escorting her to the Glacier so she can get Ice for summoner. I agreed since I, myself, could use invis rather than wasting my powders preemptively.

We're going along fine until I don't notice I have no sneak and I run right by and easy prey Hecteye. A link... two easy prey w/ high defense hecteye's now. I'm a lvl 40blm/20rdm. I knew it was time for some AoE to save our butts... so I told the rdm to keep me cured and I started nuking. About the 3rd AoE, I hit a stirge bat who got a lil close. I put down one hecteye with the 4th AoE and the other had less than 2% hp. One spell and he would have dropped. By this time, my hp was 80... I hit cure II, interrupted. Down to 44 HP, then 14, then I get a cure I from the rdm with 28 mp. Next, I die before I can drain or cure. Of course, naturally, the rdm dropped next. She defeated the hecteye, but the bat deleveled her. How nice huh?

Well, after waiting 20 min for a raise, the rdm who raised us escorted us out, then escaped herself and the rdm I was partied with. I continued on into the Glacier to find that taru I have to speak to. I use sneak/invis and I'm getting aggrivated at the fact if I do both spells, one wears off insanely fast and the other holds forever. Eventually I just started using prism powders and didn't worry about sneak unless I saw those Drone machines.

I finally get to the tower with the NPC's at the bottom of the stairs. I run down and talk to the npc in the center and got a nice description of climate conditions (it's burrr cold). I talk to the other two, and nothing is really a help. I don't have a key item or anything and about now I'm thinking WTF? cause I remember talking to the NPC in windy and her sending me off for the quest... (or so I thought). I check my quest list and I don't have the quest ; ;. All that time, gil, prism powders (which couldn't be replaced thanks to AH maintenance), exp, etc... for nothing. I warp back to realize I chose the wrong options when trying to get the quest from the NPC in windurst.

Once I had the quest, I set out to Mhaura. Just as I'm waiting for the ferry, I get a phone call for family events at the last minute. I log, get straightened up and leave for a few hours. I come back, ride the ferry to selbina and decide to look for the Golden Bat while I'm here. I head up there, no bat... but I decide to pop into the tunnel see if I can find a party really fast. Sure enough, an old LS mate was leveling past the PT's level, so I was going to fill in for him. I made a couple exp, so I don't feel so bad about the wasted time and exp from the first failed quest attempt. I also managed to get another stack of prism powders once I got home from the family events... perhaps that was for the best then.

The party lasted a couple k of exp and everyone started to warp II back. My HP being in Windurst, I left and walked to the pass. Made it thru the pass, thru the glacier, got the key item, into Fei'Yin and I head to F-6 to examine the third Cermet Door on the left... problem is, in F-6, if you're heading from F-7 into F-6, there is no third door inside F-6. Infact, the correct door is the second door on the left of F-6, and the fourth door on the left in the whole hall. I easily found the right door by looking into the room. When I saw the NPC, I chose that door.

After the cutscene, I hit warp really fast and talked to the doctor in windy walls to get warp II. My quest was finally over. Hurray!

So, having that been said, I can get back to exp'ing again ^.^
