Personally I'm surprised everytime I see that bastok retains control of gustaberg.... Which reminds me....

/em adds gustaberg to "to conquer" list for Windurst.

Bastok shudders.

Bastok has the least number of people in it's population, from what I gather. A few friends of mine tried switching alliances recently, and they were told that Bastok has a low citizenship and that they could not leave.

I'm calling BS on this one, I paid 4k to switch to Sandy, then 4k to switch back. So either u are joking, or seriously misinformed. And rank 5 shouldn't you know these things by now?

Switching costs:
4k to switch to the 3rd nation
12k to switch to the 2nd nation
40k to switch to the first nation

I could indeed be misinformed. As I said, this was some of my friends saying this. I did not personally try it. Perhaps there's some limit per day to the number that can switch or perhaps my friends are insane. *shrug*

Also, being Rank 5 has nothing to do with it. I've never had a problem with Bastok, so why whould I bother looking up how to change alliances?

I only meant that being rank 5, you have more game exp than me, and you might have run into someone who has had this problem. But there may be a time limit, but idk.

Yeah, the possibilities are endless (or at least 3 pages long). For all I know, they may have tried during some update that may have temporarily stopped the ability to change alliances. A bit of a silly possibility, but if they can shut down the AH then SE can certainly stop that function as well.
