they dont do passes any more like the old days, you get to chose your server when you start. If your reactivating your account and want to switch servers you just pay your ten bucks.

You can't return to Carby on a new character at the moment, because it's blocked off do to the pending server merge. Although if you bring back your character you can get on the server without a problem.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I have been waiting patiently for over a year to see FFXIV on PS3. No love. Was considering PC. Decided to stop by and see if FFXI was still around. Looks like alot has changed since Vana'diel 05. Is it worth coming too?

Oh wow 05 is when i started if thats the last time you played it wont even look like the same game. For starters lvl cap will soon be 99 so many new areas and jobs since then. Id say come back and see what you think.

Yea its been a stupid amount of time since I picked it up. I think the cap was 60 still when I quit. I remember SE just patched my Drg/Sam so i couldnt spam Penta every 10 seconds. Damn that was fun. But the Grind was too much of a hassle. It took way to damn long to accomplish anything. But in the past 6 or so years not playing, nothing has even come close to as much fun as I had on my worst day on FFXI. Heh, minus GreyRabbits stealing my kills :(

I guess what I really want to know. Is there enough wide enough player base to accomplish stuff? And Im time restricted, is the grind the same.

Grinding like you remember when it comes to lvling is not. Theres level sync partys to where everyone comes down to the lvl that you want and abyssea dominion partys make it to where you can do 100k in an hour if its a decent group.Now the grinding is hours of killing the same nms over and over again.

Yea im thinking about it. I really really want to. Are there any good NA LS. Is Requim still around? probably no one I play with plays any more. I just want to have fun and make friends, not really interested in drama.

Theres a couple of jobs no one seems to use any more most noteably paladin> Black mages now though are one of the most sought after jobs for partys no more soloing blm till 70 so you can get to the pudding camp. Still wish it wasnt the last job i leveled before abyssea,damn you se and all those wasted hours.
