That's sort of a vague question...

Are you a new player? If so, I recommend you taking a look at the Stickys on the Main Alla forums for tips on what to expect as a new player and such. I personally have not looked at those guides myself, but I'm very sure its helpful for new players.

Assuming you are a new player, you may want to find yourself a Linkshell home; a Linkshell being, basically, a group of players that talk and/or do events in game. You can consider it like a community if friends that either enjoy the company of each other or join together to achieve certain goals (or both). Since you're starting, you may want to focus on finding a social shell.

There are a lot of good social shells on Carbuncle. If you wish to join mine, HeavenisticChaos, just visit my sig below for information on it. I do, however, suggest you open the possibility to joining a few social shells. Reason is, each of the Linkshells have different environments, and one shell maybe better suited for you then another. Again, many of the social shells on Carby are great, but different personalities and individuals might go to your liking on one shell then it does for another.

In conclusion, aside from that, I think the forums and a LS would be a good way to start. Forums can give you a general idea of what to expect, and a LS can give you the in-game/on-the-spot answers to questions you may have during your play. I personally like to learn things on my own, as you tend to enjoy the experience better and such, but of course to each their own.

First off, I will list some items and equipment that will greatly help while training. Remember that this info is pure speculation:

Items

Selbina Milk - Restores a total amount of 40 HP over time.

Meat Jerky - Lasts for a duration of 30 minutes and grants STR+3 INT-1 Attack+22%

Antidote - Cures the status effect "Poison"
If you're going to be killing Lizards/Funguars this will most likely save your hide when it pulls off a Poison inflicting skill. Not absolutely necessary because of its steep cost for someone just starting out.

Equipment

Butterfly Axe - I highly recommend this weapon as soon as level 5 is attained, Warriors have an A+ in Great Axe skill. You can use whatever weapon suits your play style. However, parties in Valkurm Dunes will benefit greatly from Shield Break (Lowers enemies Evasion) and the increased Damage.

Empress Band - Purchased for 1000 CP (Conquest Points), Grants a total bonus of 1000 experience points and can be recharged for 700 CP.

Bastokan Ring - As a Galka, this ring is automatically aquired if you chose Bastok as your starter city.

That is pretty much all you need to know as far as what items to use and which equipment to wear for lower level soloing. Best of luck!

Thanks,I was planning on farming lizard skins until level 10.Then after I buy my scale stuff and Legionarres Mittens I was planning on going to the Dunes,taking the ferry to Mhaura then going to Windy and farm some silk thread.
After I get about 30k im going to go XP my 30 levels away and do the DRG quest again.I was also thinking of getting BLM up to 17 so I can have Warp while doing the DRG quest.

Good that you have a plan. Just remember sh*t happens, so be flexable with your plan.

When you reach 30 and get started on DRG quest look for me. I'll be starting after a month off next weekend. Always happy to help out.

Hey welcome aboard. Everyone who replied offered some great tips. I'd agree and also say take your time as there's so many quests and missions to do. You'll accomplish everything you want to do eventually.

I'd also suggest maybe taking the WAR (or any first job on your first character) solo into the teens. This will build a good foundation of skills that you won't be able to get in parties all the time (parrying is one for example).

Leveling all of the basic jobs is a good idea. Each has useful abilities.

lol anyway I actually haven't unlocked drg myself, and if you'd like some help with the BCNM fight I'd be glad to help. On a serious note, Sogio is a well versed player who has a lot of good advice to give. If you have any questions or anything my character name is Axciom, same as my forum name ^^;
