Basically, Alex got booted from our Dynamis LS for general douchebaggery. The next run, Leonis glasses him Pergo-style and the two of them proceed to start lotting everything they can get their grubby little mitts on.

There is always two sides of every story irl or in the game. I am new to this game and already know will stay out of most of the endgame activities cause I have enough drama irl, but that is beside the point. :D
I know both Alex and Leon, they have helped me on many occasions (missions, quests etc.) and all I can say about them is good stuff and I am sure I am not the only person they helped, because I know at least few others. :P So here is the second opinion on them. :)

true, there are 2 sides to every story, i think alex is an alright guy, someone must have really pissed him off for him to do that. He was kicked from our LS because of his actions but i still remain his friend. Leonis on the other hand is just a retard. ha-ha, you cant blame someone who dosnt know any better.

Entirely possible. Getting kicked out of 2 groups of people does not make you evil.
Very true. I kicked someone out of my social LS over a year ago, I've called the GM on him twice for harrassing me and my wife (most recently a /shout fight in al zhabi), and for some strange reason there's ppl that are currently in my ls that are friends with this guy.

Hold up a second. Where was the comparison made that doing bad things in a video game is comparable to mass genocide?
An example is just that--Hitler is a bad person (I think this is an easy point to argue) and might have done good things.
In this case the example is "bad people can do good things, Hitler is another example of a bad person who probably did good things."
In no way was it suggested that the magnitude of the bad things perpetrated by Alex/Leo are at the same level as what Hitler did. It's not even implied.
Free exchange of ideas, no matter how detestable, is a cornerstone of modern, free society. Period. I know there are EU countries with laws about "denying the Holocaust" but that's exactly the point of a "free exchange of ideas," even the crazies get their say. :P
On a side note, I'd object to the statement on logical grounds--that the poster has presented no evidence that Hitler did good things. (at least, I assume the poster isn't suggesting that slaughtering 10 million Jews was a good thing).
Then I'd object to your conclusion that the original poster doesn't "have a life" as using Hitler as an example of a bad person in no way has any bearing on whether or not the poster has a life. :P

Don't you think your outrage is a little out of proportion? Mikhalia simply stated that Hitler is an example of a person who also did bad things. Nowhere does Mikhalia say, "they're comparably bad" or that dynamis lotting anywhere near as bad as the holocaust. The only comparison Mikhalia is making is that dynamis lotting is bad, and that Hitler is bad.
The problem with forums in an "international community" is that there are different laws in different places. See, in the US we have something called free speech. Public endangerment (i.e. yelling fire in a crowded theatre) to be the only exception. All opinions and views are fully protected no matter how grotesque they may be to others.
That includes hate speech, KKK rallies and "denying the Holocaust." In Europe I know it's a little different--something like half of Europe has laws against things like denying the holocaust and hate speech.
Inevitably then if you participate in international forum discussions you are going to run across people who say things that might even be illegal in your country (though obviously Mikhalia is not suggesting the Holocaust didn't target Jews or that it didn't happen at all).
Personally I think it's very unhealthy to not have open and free discussions, no matter how abhorrent an idea may be.
Case in point--in the US these last few weeks there are people who gather at the funerals of men who have died in the Iraq war to ridicule the grieving families. Of course, this makes me want to go punch them in the teeth, however, I fully support their right to express their opinion (in this case they're opinion is that "God is punishing the US for the US acceptance of gays...lolidiots") no matter how stupid or hurtful.
Ah well, c'est la vie, just wanted to remind you that laws and culture are different everywhere and honestly I'm proud to live in a country where even the idiots are allowed to voice their stupid opinions. (Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!)

Not all Americans think this way of course--some want to limit free speech, but I'd definitely say a majority of Americans support the right of people to express their opinions no matter how grotesque they are.
