40 Macro Lines!?!?!Follow

A friend once told me of a key combination to enter on the character selection screen, perhaps after you select the character but before answer "Yes" or "No"? I've been trying to figure it out but unfortunately I am not getting anywhere. What it allows you to do is save and load up to 4 macro sets. That's 4 macro SETS (10 lines a piece)!! This wasn't a windower trick, either. I think it was a Ctrl+"______" combination, but I can't remember (and neither can my friend).

Help me out?! I level lots of jobs and am in Dynamis and Limbus and other events where I need lots of different macro sets and it is a REAL pain in the *** to recreate an entire macro set that I had previously erased for another job's macros. I'd be VERY much appreciative!!

(P.S.) It might be a PC only feature, I'm unsure.

the link dosent work for me, so how is it done? I never knew there was such a thing, It would be great to know.

nvm I found out from another tread:

Quote:
on the character select screen, press:
Alt+Ctrl+Shift+B - And it will ask if you'd like to save your macros. It saves them on the server(s?).

When you want to load them, on the character select screen press:
Alt+Ctrl+Shift+R - And it will ask if you want to load your macros.

Oh yeah, FFXI Wiki just got a make-over and any links to a ffxi-wiki page prior to the change come up with Error 404 Page Not Found.

Anywho, I was wondering your luck on this? Either I'm dumb and can't get it to work properly, or there's something wrong with this function. I unfortunately had to reconstruct -EVERY- one of my macros last week.

I saved Macro Set A.
I also saved to Macro Set B, so that I could keep my teleporting macros and erase the rest, creating a lot of macros for my non-mage jobs.
When I was done, I saved to Macro Set B.
Then I loaded Macro Set A, logged in, and bam- all my macros were the melee ones I had just created.
I recreated the original macros, saved in Macro Set A, and then loaded up Macro Set B.
Macro Set B was now my mage macros.

I've experimented back and forth, changing only a few macros on ONE line, saving, loading, saving back and forth and each time, Macro Set A mirrors Macro Set B.

What am I doing wrong? Any input would be great! I really don't want to have to recreate my macros again! >.<
