I don't care if she makes these sort of threads, in fact I liked the Sunday/Monday threads, but the difference was people actually gave back stories and/or information about what they did. NOT highlights.* Highlights are boring to read, hearing about others accomplishment with a how/why is entertaining.
Yeah, that's what I'd like as well. I don't frequent these forums anymore so, in the end, if nothing changes then I'll just go back to BG. I do like Caitsith's community however, and I like to hear what others do instead of "ding 24 SCH!" I'm sure others can agree with me on that.
*I don't know how far back you were in Caitsith, but the stories Moots and Brill used to give were hilarious. I'm not going to make this into a Alla vs. BG debate (lol) but there's a reason why Brill has done the dive into BG (I have too).
Ok, where to begin:
I assume by "Moots" you may have meant Mote, and not "Moot" the admin of 4chan.
Most people's posts on "Friday/Monday threads have -always- followed a simple pattern."
This pattern is:
- Someone posts a 'what the hell are people's plans in game this weekend?' thread.
- People post what their plans are.
- On Monday, people post how many of their goals were met, or what they ended up doing instead.
Most of these posts, are usually concise, and to the point, most people don't spend half an hour compiliing the perfect "Well X Y and Z joined up with me and we went to La Theine for two hours then I made a sandwich which was nice then eventually after several deaths I finally dinged 14BLM! Woot!"
I personally tend to keep my goals, and achievements on the concise side, because usually I'm throwing the topic up quickly, to get it up there and available.
I have noted that you would prefer a more verbose response and as such at the end of this post, I am going to reiterate my entire weekend's FFXI experience, so that you can compare it to the first post and tell me which you prefer to read about.
Yeah yeah i was busy with baby stuff, :P

Well folks, this was a confusing and frustrating weekend for me, whilst FFXI was productive, I had at least one bad hair incident, and am really getting nervous about my wife's health, for whilst the baby appears to be developing normally, her health is deteriorating at an alarming rate.... and no-one's throwing her a baby shower, we really do live in a small town full of @#%^s.
I wanted to finish out Dark Knight this weekend, however, that didn't happen. It's still 73. >_>
I've never heard back from Origins over why my application fell into Limbo, was neither approved, nor denied, but after waiting three weeks and hearing nothing, forget it.
I also wanted to get Dancer levelled up after finishing DRK, ended up soloing FoV in Beaucedine whenever farmers would let me get claims on tigers. >_> Bastards. Ding 45 DNC, wanted 46 so I could sell off some gear, but that didn't happen.
I heard news of a new Einherjar LS starting, I applied, I was accepted within 24hours.
I've decided that it will be fun to attempt to tank for that shell, being that I hate being a 'faceless DD', and would rather be in a position of being useful, if not relied on.
So I'm back to xp'ing PLD with the wife's RDM, after some effort in getting a party together, all the "level appropriate" camps were full, the new 'mooch camp' was overflowing, so instead, we went to the Leypoint in Wajaom, sync'd to 62, and speed-burned Lesser Colibri like it was going out of style, chain #58 was our highest.
The entire time, we had two 55ish pt's show up and bitch at us for 'taking all the xp'.
Well, the entire area was empty when we got here, we kept claim on everything, thus, it's ours.
Ding 64 PLD.
We also took the roommate along on that pt, Dakren, he got some merits on SAM from it.
Sometime on saturday, we went to do Double Dragonian runs, Endtanis didn't show up for it, despite arranging it, so we stumbled and fumbled around, but eventually, on Corri's orb, got -a- win, and destroyers dropped, Bellefille got them, so she was happy.
Party started to fall apart after that.
I stuck around and hooked up with a more successful run, who had ra/ex's falling all over the place, so I got my Destroyers, and a Subduer for my DRK, and got to spend my orb, which dropped crap.
Right after I was done with that, an LS member needed DRG unlocking, so whilst I was walking back through Ghelsba after not bringing a warp item, I solo'd that fight for them, took about 20 seconds, but they were happy.
No sooner did I hit San d'Oria, then another LS member asked me to help with San d'Oria 7-2, which is back up in Horlais Peak... so we grabbed a sleeper, and beat orc ass.
Was a relatively easy fight, no deaths.
Monday night, since I was an idiot, distracted by baby/mom health issues, and my upcoming interview with immigration officials, and didn't post THIS THREAD, but Dakren, Corrianne and I manage to trio ToAU 22, so now we're cranking out CS's to get ready for AU29.
Also, on Sunday, I made breakfast burrito's with a butt ton of bacon in them. They were nummy.
