I don't normally whine or complain about what happens in the game. I get unlucky sometimes, it's no big deal. But this is really bugging me because it deals with you, the people who share this server with me. I get eaten by an Eotyrannus? No big deal. Munched by a Minotaur? I can cope. Slain by Seiryu? I'll just sit on a cushion for a few days.

But when I'm laying dead in Campaign, and you're a mage capable of casting it, could you please Raise me? Yes, I know, the responsibility is mine to make sure I have Reraise up. But I can't buy Reraise from every outpost, and I won't leave a Campaign I'm already fighting in at a foreign country to go refresh it if I've lost my Reraise during that Campaign.

And I can understand, you might not have seen me to raise me. That stuff happens. But as I type this, I am running back to Windurst[S] for the fifth time in five Campaigns from having to homepoint deaths. No XP loss, so that's groovy, but I'm getting tired of making this walk because I can't depend on the playerbase to even toss me an occasional Cure. x_x

I'm even subbing Dancer for my own survivability and wielding a Soboro. If I can't stay alive spamming cures in campaigns where I'm one of 20+ people killing one monster, it's kinda a problem.

So yeah, start raising me or I'll start mailing you laminated, full color, photo-quality horse ****.

That's like the Goatse of horse ****.

Unfortunately, horse **** transcended something as trivial and mildly entertaining as Goatse years ago. I have pictures of a horse that would make you gouge your eyes out and begin screaming. Your screams would go on and on, day and night, until someone killed you out of your misery. Or you'd get aroused or something, like I do.

So yeah, hi, I'm a Dakren.

I try to raise all of my fellow campaigners when in battle. If I do not, then it is because I could not see you; thankfully, now there is the patch that won't let me waste precious MP on trying to Raise someone who didn't need it. Are you sure you didn't have that up? I'm not sure what exactly it is, but when I try to Raise Campaigners, on occasion, I get a "You cannot Raise So-and-So". I am always down with the Get Up, so please do not send me weird Horse **** ^^

I googled "Goatse" the other day, as I had forgotten what it actually was.

I wished, again, that I hadn't.

It's weird how your mind blocks out painful things.

Also: I haven't come across much Horse **** in my web surfs as of late. It seems to me that the "new" goatse isn't something as innocent as horse-****.

No, no, no.

It appears that the web has been taken over by furries.

And not your run of the mill, "Hi I like to dress in costumes and *****" furries. I'm talking full on fan fiction, fan art, body modifications, et. al.

****, there's even cries of "Fursification" when they're ridiculed for their deviant ways.

To offer the obvious: Why not ask one of those healers out there alone to group with you for the battle? Then not only would they be more apt to raise you, count on you to get monsters off them, cure you, haste you, and buff you - but also be able to regen you and enfeeble monsters you're fighting.

Honestly, this isn't a jab, I am always at a loss to understand why when I go to campaign the melee around me pretty much expect my help (and they get it, cause that's how I get my points and I'm a whitemage to the core) but they don't want to group with me, they want to play it "alone" ... until they need to be woken from sleep...or die...or get paralyzed... Smiley: dubious It isn't like we have to be attached at the hip and fly from town to town defending against evil every day from this to that - but it is a lot easier for a healer to care for you if you're in their group especially if the zone is laggy.

Yay {rates up}

I agree 317%

You want to have more fun in campaign? Set up a makeshift alliance. I did this once purely off blind invites in Grauberg S, I had a blast attacks were somewhat more organized and we trounced 2 waves of mobs that showed up at the same time. After battle was over alliance dissolved. I was thinking of using the auto-group function would work well for this kind of thing but I only once ever saw another player using auto-group?

So what you think Caitsith? Auto-group campaign militia's?? I to have also been left for dead and know how frustrating it can be (especially if hp means dropping the 1k+ exp you just earned)

Ever just try sending a /tell to those around you to get a "raise" or at the very least have someone /shout that you need a raise at <pos>? You could be proactive and see when you zone in for a fight... if you can even expect a raise from the jobs that are present.

****, all I have to do is /shout "MEDIC" and I get cure bombed by every healer in range. Too much BattleField2 and JointOps.

sub WHM so you can RR yourself. bring some extra +mp gear for when you are weak and need more mp to recast RR. problem solved.

edit: Then you can get revenge on raisers who don't have RR and not raise them.

You know, oddly enough, I've tried to invite people. They always complain, "I'm seeking for a party, not for a campaign group!" Half of the people that say this aren't even LFP, and **** near none of them have search comments. I'd really given up on trying that a few months ago, since it seems that the people I campaign with are only doing it until their XP party calls them.

I've kinda managed to solve this problem simply by refusing to campaign in any zone except Windurst/Controlled, so I only have to homepoint occasionally from those "Get tags, get raped" situations. x_x

Edit: Oh, also, it's not like I'm getting ****** when I'm in a zone where there's not even WHMs or RDMs or BLMs or anything with the capacity of raise around to help me. I'm getting ****** when a WHM in a noble's tunic stands on my corpse and doesn't do anything.

idk dak, i seem to get raises all the time. Are you pulling mobs to a very obscure area so that you can solo them for more exp etc? That' susually the case when people don't get raised. People were complaining about this when campaign was introduced originally, but now SE implemented "healing" npcs that cast cures, buffs, and raise. If you see someone run by just ask them for raise, if they can't just ask them to ask someone in the area for one. And yeah, only go to the ones that you can teleport to if you don't bring RR along. Most people don't bother to go to like garliage, eldieme etc.

Well I don't get out to the past much, mostly I am just hanging on to the bottom rung of medals between homework, work, LS events, and just plain being lazy when I log on some nights -- but, if by chance you see me in the past defending the front I'm the type who'll take an invite for the battle. Smiley: nod

(Also, y'know I seem to recall in the fort windy controls some npc raised me - not a fairy, an npc - does that happen or am I confused?)

combat casters buff you with protect, shell, blink, cure you and even toss raises. They were added in some update, i forgot when.

it costs mp to raise, whereas they could haste themself, cure otherse and basically keep themself alive longer. or it could just be that everyone in campaign is an ******* /laugh .

I'm always happy to raise in campaign. The only time I'll overlook one player for another is if I see a slain friend, or if I see another fallen mage who can also help with raises, especially if theres been a massacre and theres bodies everywhere.

My only beef is that if you have a train of monsters chasing you, don't run them through as many people as possible, take them to the ???s the mobs attack and die there. The mobs will start attacking the ??? afterwards and people can then go ahead and pull them one at a time.

I had a guy chew me out the other day because he died while we were fighting a mob. Then he challenged me to PVP to prove he was better at the job I was on.

He was on MNK, I was on PLD. I wasn't really trying to tank either.
