i just join this game 2 days ago.
it is pretty fun playing with my girlfriend lvling in Ronfaure :P
However i find the prize in Auction house are ridicous to us....
i pack of fire cystal only cost 400gil. And a armor the basic lv10 one cost 4000gil.......
this make us very slow to lvl up. All We can just doing those delivery quests to get money and gears... i am a white mage i have so much trouble to live in Sand'Oria... not many magic i can get in shop or quest and AH cost like 3k for each...
So we really really want a Linkshell to teach us more knowledge about FFXI. Maybe there a some better way to learn money.

Try shopping at the npc shops for early level gear. Better prices than the AH in general and Sandy has pretty decent stuff in the shops (S. Sandy, not far from the AH, check the map). Crystals are your first money maker, but selling other things you find is also wise, either to the AH or to the npcs in the shops (see which price is better). Also check some quests around town - while not all of them offer gil many of them offer items to sell for gil, and will increase your fame which in turn increases the amount npcs will pay you for your items slightly. Doing missions also rewards you with a small amount of gil when you rank up.

Well, there was the whole Portal Charm thingy that seemed very interesting; haven't been into Canal thus far. Plus, since I never have trusted those little grass hamsters, I figured "what better way to keep tabs on them?"

You will love Nessus' shell very friendly shell lots of stuff to be doing and a great place to learn!

Hello! I saw you running around Sandy the other day while I was starting my character off! Yeah, beginning in this game is rough, but as you get higher level making money gets a bit simpler.
You might try fishing in town for Moat Carp. Its relatively cheap to start out and you can make a decent profit from it.

From my previous experience with the game, it was much easier to make money at higher levels. Even if you are doing the same things, it takes less time, thus more money. I typically mined, and being able to mine in higher level areas meant higher level ore, which sold for more. If farming was your thing, higher level mobs usually yeilded more of the item you wanted then the low level mobs of the same family, and if not, farming the low levels was trivial.
No DRG for party, camp spot site with 30 dmg, but is it for 20 like 30 dmg when you no hit be it for dd, for 30 dmg instead? or half is 10 for 20 dmg?
