Really, stop inviting me to level sync when I seek on COR75. You really think a COR75 or BRD75 wants to sync at level 42 for less than half the xp of even a bad merit PT?

I get tells anyway, just like I get random tells for Raises while I solo as BST/WHM.

When I receive tells for raises, most of the time its someone asking for a 3rd party in my area. Of course, at my current level I don't even have enough MP to cast Raise unless I eat some sort of pie and I never bring food while on BST so its a waste of time to ask.
Believe it or not, you can PT without a BRD or COR and still get good XP. Just don't overhunt...

I'm sure those of us who frequent the boards know this, but you're assuming the people who are spamming those BRD's and COR's without reading /seacom's know this as well.

Sync is a nice feature. I haven't used it but I know people that do and it's a good thing. If I was going back to level some other sub (which I will have to here soon.. need both /dnc and /sch...) instead of having people out of range in my party and killing xp I'd suggest to level sync.
I don't think it should be your first option, I think it should be a final option. I don't think everyone is using it as intended. They are just skipping over people their level to grab "better" options for their party.

I'm not saying level sync is bad, I use it all the time for various jobs. But its something to use when you only got a few levels of difference or when playing with friends. When you start passing up options that could be good for someone who'll get his gear gimped by the level sync, you hurt the whole PT.
You're expecting people to use the feature intelligently. Aren't you? What about playing this game for as long as you have makes you think they will? Just curious if you've seen some great minds of FFXI that I've obviously missed in the masses.
Now, intelligent players look at level synch as a boon because they are using it with some thought. If say you're creating (or filling in a static) a party in the 20s range, you might look for people to synch with up to...maybe... 40. Above that, its unlikely anyone wants to come down to 23 with your party, and even 40's going to be pushing the envelope a little but there are people willing in some cases.

I do understand how sometimes going back to level sync can just suck but ya know what the fun thing about it is, Atleast you do not have to wait for a party while Campaigning for hours on in trying to level up. I am sure everyone has been there but when you get a party invite I am currently at the point where I am going sweet Hi to you more XP an hour -.-
I don't see a reason for seacom to be ignored. If one clicks on a char name to send a tell from the search results, the comment will be shown automatically.

There's not a GOOD reason for people to ignore it, but they do.
I don't know how many times I've seen people put "mention -this- if you invite me to party" in their seacom, and it takes like 8 people before someone does.
