pretty fun to do if you can find 17 other people you trust. What is to stop me from having one of my buddies meeting me in batalia and clearing a path for me :)

Perocet: lol, the 17 others chasing your ass to Jeuno. You stop to wait for your buddy to clear the way, and the the other guy is in the clear for a sprint past you.

norcross: Yea, Sandy to Jeuno was only a suggestion ^^. There'd be so many interesting ones you could do.

Yea its true. But its all up to your own strategy. Some people won't have PLD, some may have THF leveled. lol, what about Benediction? That'll last you one more hit :P. How about SMN? Just pump carby out to take all the hate while you run by... sure they'll aggro after carby's dead, but you'll be miles away by then.

lol, one of the more interesting ones would be from Sandy to Xarcabard. Rangeumont Pass is fun ^^.. It'd be a war of "You go first.." .. "nah-ah.. you go first".

One idea that you can do to make it honest, is that you have some sort of referees. Basically, people on chocobo's following the racers. This could properly insure that players are not using potions or having spells casted on them to keep it fair and evened out.

With trustyworthy referees, I think it could be entertaining. I have personally walked a level 1 mule to Jeuno and it was not an easy task by any means.

This event was originally hosted by Renkei Theory on Asura. Since then Renkei Theory has divided to form Unitas as well. Both linkshells are active with good member bases.

It was handled fairly, no cheaters. There was great participation. And, it was not an event to make money but an event to increase linkshell notoriety. Entry fees were well below 1k. I believe they made less than 40% of their investment back.

Given that this is not the only active thread about the naked jeuno run and its now months afterwards, the event can be considered a huge success.

Too bad you're all not on Asura. Unitas will be hosting more events with even larger prizes (up to 1 million gil) and there is no way that we'll be making any money off that event either ; )

You're probably right. Maybe if I added 25k to the pot, and no gil to enter.. people would be more inclined.. I wonder if anyone else would help me sponsor this.

Then that, indeed, would be freaking hilarious...watching 20 lvl 1's come to a dead end, turn around and see some angry goblin robbers and hornflys waiting to one-shot them.

Gustav tunnel is 2 way. Dunes on one end and Cape Teriggan (dunes on drugs) on the other.

This does sound like a blast. I'm in, if you can get it off the ground. Send a tell to starlin when it's together. Woo Hoo, we're all gonna die!

Well, I think the entrance fee of 1k is a reasonable amount (more for the seriousness of the runner). I'll add the 25k to the pot, and look for other sponsors. Hopefully we can get the pot up to 100k+ for the winner. Maybe a special racing LS for the runners/refs. If we form an alliance for the runners, and one for the refs, we'll have quite a bit of control over it...

We can hold 3 different circuits... Depending on the difficulty of the circuit, we can increase or decrease the pot. There's been a few incredibly difficult circuits given.

I'll start advertising across Vana'diel. Post your name up here if you're interested (and haven't already), I'll /tell you in the next week to give you the status of the race. The 1k entrance fee can be paid just before the race, and the LS pearl can be picked up at the same time. As a prospective date, it'll be held Sept 2nd at 8:30pm EST.

lol.. any other ideas for circuits? prizes? organization? .. Anybody want to help sponsor this?
