Hey all, it's been along time since i last played ffxi. I left to settle down and now that i have, i am considering picking the game back up. I was just curious if there are still players around from 03-07 that i might still know. I would also like to know some of the current LS's for social and +75 events. It will be a few days before i am ingame since i just got my char back from a +5 year absence. I now have to pick up a new copy of the game. I played on PC for about 4 yrs but i am thinking of going with 360 what's everyone's preference.

Welcome back! As someone who has played on all three platforms, I've settled on PC and am happy with that choice. The toughest part for me was acclimating to a keyboard without using a controller anymore, but if you've played on PC before this shouldn't be a problem.
360 was great if you have friends that also play on 360, so you can compare achievements and such (if you're into that sort of thing). My 360 always got REALLY hot though, so if you go that route be careful of overheating from extended play sessions.
