Saw that some servers got merged apparently, in a panic I came over to see if we were still around. Whew!

Amazingly busy with school and work. Wife is gearing up to attend an 11 month program to get her second bachelors for Clinical Lab Sciences, which will result in a reduction of about half of our income for those 11 months but should increase her resultant salary by roughly 40% after she's done with the program Smiley: grin

I'm tempted to start up FFXI again after school is out, but I keep waiting for the FFXIV invite and if I get one of those I doubt I'd have time for two MMO's. Also still working on beating FFXIII Smiley: thumbsup I still check in on my server from time to time though Smiley: smile

That was such a ******** way to say 'we're gonna be more poor followed shortly by less poor.

HI WINT!!! As a brand new grad student myself I SO feel your pain re: work and school... and I don't even have children making me even more busy on top of it!

Best of luck to your wife. That's an awesome undertaking, more power to her and to you for supporting her while she goes through with it!

Byaina and Wint posting on Allakhazam again, it's like the good old days back when FFXI was peaking.

Yeah, we're dropping several tax brackets for this year Smiley: frown

We're also thinking about having me work half time and attend school full time so I will get my degree before 2015 Smiley: laugh

Hey Bya! Congrats on grad school, it seems to be a good investment in this economy Smiley: smile After layoffs went through here I managed to keep my job, but without a degree my chances of finding employment in my field would be nil, self-taught programmer doesn't sound as good as Bachelors of Computer Engineering from the University of Nebraska Smiley: smile

Doesn't that just suck? I know plenty of college grads who know a heck of a lot less than self-taught people. It's just a piece of paper, people!

...says the grad student. Hmmmm.

Thanks for the congrats :D I'm only taking one class at a time and like you I'm looking at not finishing until 2014 or so unless I can bump up the number of classes I take. But just this one class has completely kicked my butt this semester, so I have no idea how I can do it. I have SO much respect for people who can work full-time, go to school, AND raise a family, because just two out of three is killing me.
