Hi folks,
Ima Shade from Seraph soon to be God knows what formerly from Seraph and I want to take a few minutes to just say hi and get acquainted a bit.

I'ma try to make the best of this whole merger thing, put my best foot forward and see what we sorts of things we can get happening once we're all one big happy family.

A little about me. I have played this game here since Seraph was born. I have had sea almost from the time there was sea, and did the HNMLS thing years ago. I created a shell of close friends and recruited good folks that knew their jobs and we began successfully low-manning Limbus and other battles with the working plan of quality>quantity. Well, enough about me.

To the point, this is something I have wanted to do for quite some time. Ima reworking my current shell concurrent with the merger into an Endgame Pet Job Shell and will be recruiting new members for this shell once the merger is complete and I have enough time to recon schedules.

The main jobs we are looking for will be pet jobs: SMN BST PUP and DRG along with support jobs such as WHM RDM COR BRD BLM BLU DNC NIN or PLD and a TH4 THF(we have one atm). The general concept is that we want jobs that are self-sufficient in battle, requiring very little or no support outside of the tank party.

Our initial focus will be Limbus, Sea gods, KSNM99, Assaults including Nyzul Isle, ZNMs and popNMS. There is a potential to do sky gods among other things depending on member input.

This will be a -0-tolerance for drama, points based ESTzone shell with a fresh EPGP DKP and no linkshell bank, all items will be distributed. We anticipate a mix of veterans and focused newer players coming together 4 nights a week on a variety of events for fun and shineys.

So, the purpose of this is to lay a little groundwork, build interest and see what we can to to have a lil more fun in this game we all <3.
We'll cya soon.

I'm pretty gutted that this is an EST shell. I long to use my BST for this sort of thing, I took ages gearing my BST and then realised no matter how good your gear is, you are likely going to be the only person to see it!.

Perhaps I can come to an event with you guys some time, it does look like a whole lot of fun.

All the best with this!

Hi Shade.

My characters name is currently Venessa on Seraph. I like your idea though I think I would like more details in what you are planning. I have some of what you are looking for as far as jobs go. Feel free to send a /tell to Venessa if you see me in game.
On a side note I visited Bismarck a couple weeks ago and met a cute little Taru BST named Peachies who seems friendly enough. Perhaps you could give her a holler once the merger is complete and see if she is interested. This idea does seem interesting and I have a few friends who might be interested to try it as well. Good luck with this venture and I hope it turns out well for you.

Hi folks,

(warning, long post ahead)

More than happy to provide additional details and thoughts.

First off, the name.. dunno will need to wait till we get to Bismarck to create the new shell. We have a short list to work from.

Primary purpose.
Fun and shineys. To provide an alternate end game experience to the typical variety of shells by using pet-based self sufficient jobs as main DD sources, supported just like any endgame alliance would support their standard DDs. While I do not anticipate any sort of zerg type battles, there are more ways than one to win almost any battle in this game.

Admission criteria
Don't be a goober or a drama queen and have a 70+ pet job that you are serious about and can bring to events. We typically ask all those online at any given time if any have a problem with (your_name_goes_here). If not, you are accepted and pearled on the spot. The shell is based on mutual respect and trust and is much like a family shell in that regard. If you don't like family, you won't like us. We will have a job leader sacked for each of the 4 pet jobs as well as sacks for event leaders.

Schedule.
This also will be determined after about a week on the server to avoid conflicts with existing shells and work with a majority of this shell's member's game time, centered around an evening EST time frame. It is important to me that it be no more than 4 evenings a week and that events not be mandatory attendance. Along with this I want to have pet based meripo and xp parties at least 1 night per week. Folks are free to use the shell as a social in the off-hours.

EPGP.
Details will be on website but expect something on the order of 1 point per full hour farming, 1 point per event, 2 points per boss. Expect salable drops to cost 1 point per 100k of price, and non-salable items to go to high points in the EPGP. Expect a fairly stiff decay rate applied to the points to help give incentive to stay active in the shell. And no, you can't multi-box(not a fan of this, it usually takes a good player and turns them into 2 not so good players) and pass items around, expect a 1 item per run per person (not character) limit.

Events.
Will be on site calendar for sign-up as well as /lsmes.

Limbus.
I have a lot of experience here and I look forward to adapting this to pet based DD. AF+1 to go free lot with a priority towards those that have the mating half, boss items to go per position in the EPGP.

Sea Gods.
Do I think we can kill AV? No, not really...especially not at first. But I do think we can kill everything up to it.

Pop-NMs
There are an awful lot of pop NMs that can be done for fun and profit.

KS99
Your trigger, you get either 1 item of choice (if over 2 mil value aka the big one) or 2 items (if under 2 mil each aka no big one), and rights to sell the black belt item either way should it drop to anyone you bring to wait at the zone(this is your deal, not ours, caveat emptor). Balance goes to others that aid in the win free lot. Further details will be on website.

ZNMs
Farm your own zeni. Most Tier 1 and Tier 2 can be low manned with ease. We can set up LS events for Tier 3+. Expect to get pick of 1 item and trophy on your trigger with others going to participants of event.

Nyzul Isle
While not official point earning events, I can see running some of these along with regular assaults on a regular basis.

SCNM
[Yes Please]

Sky
We'll see on what member input is. I am a lot like a lot of folks, not a big fan of sky farming but <3 to fight the gods. If there is interest , we can find a way.

Non-Events
Land Kings. Without pointing fingers, I simply won't bot anything, and I fear that puts us out of the running for these. However, I can tell you that Tiamat can be killed with a combination of 16 BST and SMN in 43 minutes. Just an FYI, I really hate camping long windows and do not expect it to be a part of the program.
Dynamis
No...join an established Dyna shell for this. I run with Catwho's NoSeph and highly recommend them if you are looking for gear. Yes, I go PUP, SMNs get to go SMN, BST get to go BST etc.
Einherjar
No. The time constraints of this event almost demand a zerg type approach to the final boss of each chamber. While SMN is top DD on Odin, you gotta get there first.

[What's the battle plan?]
A fairly straightforward modification of standard party and alliance battle arrangements. 1-2 tanks in tank party chock full of support with a WHM BRD RDM as a minimum and depending on the situation a BLU COR SMN THF. Depending on mob, DD Parties made of 4-5 pet jobs and 1-2 support jobs. Larger field battles can have outside DD parties rotated in and out( especially smns) to increase DD/minute. The primary concept is this, most of us with pet jobs have a very good understanding of hate and how it relates to duo play (us and our pet) and a good understanding of what it takes to stay alive long enough to wear down a boss. Both of these attributes are less common to standard party DDs and a huge advantage to a pet shell. Winning big battles is most generally a simple process if the hate stays on the tank and the tank stays alive. Every pet job has a method of dumping hate that standard DDs do not have. But in addition, support hate is minimized as every pet job has a way of staying alive themselves. AOEs are a lot easier(with a lot less hate) to deal with when you only need to cure 1 player. In kited battles with pet jobs not only is DOT vs. hate superior, but in many cases outright DOT is better. In battles with nasty AOEs, pet jobs allow for damage in hot zones we would not want players in (Citadel Buster). Beyond this, having a handful of BLMS turns the tables on a lot of battles. Example: Byakko can be beaten with a naked alliance slapping him silly as long as you have a stun-lock on him.

Linkshell Bank
No. Ima gamer, not a banker. Items will get dispersed at runs or sold and gil split even between participants. We will keep a tally of triggers as we accumulate them on the site.

Accounting
Completely transparent and available on site for any member's review at any time.

Notes.
This is not the first shell I have been leader or officer of. I know what it takes to build and maintain a quality shell. I can't make a shell that is everything to everyone, but I can surely build one that is fun to be a part of. The success depends on each of us and I have a good feeling about this.
Cya soon.

Shadechaos (or whatever the character name will be) is an excellent player, all around nice person, and definitely capable of providing the leadership this needs. If you're wondering at all about this, I believe you can't go wrong with Shade.

My "nights per week" are already pretty much taken up with other committments (in-game and out), or I'd love to get in on this. It will be awesome.

Might have something to do with the official alliance builder's main jobs being DRG and PUP. Smiley: nod

Anyway, Shade on PUP is one of our top DDs. I parse the runs, so I know how strong PUP, SMN, and BST can be in Dyna when played well.
