Character NamesFollow

I am sorry to bother the people of Bismarck with this concern but as you all know by now my server (Seraph) will be merging with yours in the next update.
In the off chance that anyone will care, I decided to post this.

After hearing the news, many of my LS mates, friends, myself, and other inhabitants of Seraph aren't exactly happy with this. Not because of the merger itself but because of the fact that quite a few of us will have to change our charcters's names. While some have no problem with it, many of us do not wish to change the names we have played as for XX number of years. I, for one, am one of those who do not wish to change my name.

What I would like to do is ask that people of Seraph list their characters name here so that people of Bismarck can see who wants to keep their name when the merger is complete. Also I would like to ask that players on Bismarck be kind enough that if they have a mule with a name listed here, make a new mule with a name not on this list. I know this is a lot to ask of everyone. Bismarck, I ask you to put yourselves in our position. Would you want to change your name if Bismarck was merged with Seraph because someone had a level 3 mule with your name on it? Please keep in mind that I do not intend this to be aimed at your main characters, only any mules that have no real value or purpose. I will edit this post if I can right up until the day of merger. Please consider the attachment we Seraphans have for our names.

PS: to those who wish to help by "holding" character names:
I thank you and I will personally tell those people on Seraph
if you will send me a PM with your Character name on Bismarck so
they may contact you once the merger is complete.

really your hitting up MAYBE 5% of the population of the game that reads ala... and of that 5% you would be lucky to have anyone look at the server forum and care. Then to have them actually spend the time to change a name that on the off chance someone has will be small...

Your best bet if you really care that much about a name in a game is to make a mule right now on bis, get the name you want and when server happens delete before you transfer.

If you happen to not be able to get the name on your mule then obviously someone has it. In the case do a /sea all throughout the day and hope that is a mule....

honestly though XXnameXX seems like what you will now be forced into lol... sad but true.

while your notions are good, your literally asking for the needle in a hay stack and its just not happening.

Well nowt can be done until all payments have ceased processing, so that'll be tomorrow I guess.

Although I don't really expect this to help, I'll post.

My character name on Seraph is Luthien. (Emoria was my original character that never made it past level 50 war.) On FFXIAH, there is no Luthien listed on Bismark, but a friend of mine made a mule on Bismark and said he could send a crystal to "Luthien." I'm assuming that someone made the character name a long time ago and never used it or something. But, if anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly. :)
