RANT, GO!Follow

Okay. The last few levels of my DRK really have not been enjoyable, but the party tonight takes the cake. Party was a 66 sync, caedarva mire. NIN THF WHM SMN DRG DRK. not the greatest, but i'll take it due to my only two invites in the last 3 weeks being from friends to party in valkurm and garlaige. 5 of us take the portal to the mire, then we start to notice our 66 WHM, Booie is in the thickets. he plans on escaping to the mire. not sure how that was gonna work.

we redirect him to the chamber of passage, after he states he's been away from the game for a while. come to find out he doesn't have any runic portals. so our party leader, the DRG, Dantezero, directs him to the ferry instead of replacing him. It's a nice gesture, but instead of killing mobs til he arrives, we wait for the whm. Our thf tebryn (nice guy) goes and escorts him to the portal from nashmau. he goes to whitegate, them comes back, and can't exit the staging point. he has assault orders. Booie goes back to whitegate again, cancels the app, and comes back.

Finally, about 45 minutes into it, we get started. First fight, it becomes apparent Booie has no clue what he is doing. He has no idea what some of his spells do, and does not know how to make macros with the <st> command. We start giving him a crash course, then the deaths start. we recover and resync to 67. Things don't get any better. I'm constantly sitting at about 400 hp on my DRK, and the ninja, Chut, is not getting silena. Between the whm and the smn, no one is getting hasted at all. we're still explaining things to Booie, who is constantly running in to target people for silena. That's when the ninja goes down, due to Booie being silenced again and not having echo drops. The SMN, Murdoc silenas him, and he dies promptly due to overcuring. next comes the party leader, our DRG Dantezero. Dantezero then proceeds to homepoint, and disband the party midfight, causing the rest of us to die.

WHAT A PRICK!!!

After the smn and thf recover, they stay around to get me up. IF you see either Dantezero or Booie LFG, i strongly recommend against inviting them. Booie has no clue what he's doing, and Dantezero is just a ****. All in all, party wound up netting everyone 1k an hour.

Your stories are slight reminders of why I swore off party'n ever,
around 2 years ago. Haven't partied since.
