when 14 releases are you gonna keep your old vanadiel char alive or drop it totaly for 14?
i think ill never play 11 again when it drops, i dont play anymore now anyway.
i dont wanna pay the monthly fee to keep it alive, but i dont know if i can bring myself to delete it.
all the time and effort and loss of sleep i put into this char... deleting it seems like murder.
what you gonna do? keep ffxi and not play 14? play both? or go full time 14?

I doubt I'll cancel FFXI when it happens though, EQ2 only held my interest for a couple weeks so I'm not so sure XIV will be any different.

I might just try it for a bit, but I'm not killing my FFXI toon. I've done too much on this game to just abandon it for XIV and do it all over again. Looking back at how long I've played XI, I can't bring myself to do it all over again on a new MMO. I'll leave XI when it's wasted away to nothing.
Same, I'll just cancel the content ID and not delete the character. It will be there if I wish to return. I won't know if I will go to XIV until I see more about it though.

Gonna try it for sure, I don't know if I'll get rid of my XI character yet... kinda attached to her. Guess it depends on two things: 1) How many of my friends go to XIV, and 2) How good XIV is.

but I'm very interested in FFXIV. I'm really interested which old friends I'll be seeing in the future.

Eh... I might try it out, but it doesn't seem appealing to me. That and I don't know if my current PC would be up to the task.
I enjoy playing FFXI from the comforts of my couch. :p

would be nice if you take your 11 char to 14, not play the char., but stash it in something like a moghouse.
maybe it would follow you around like a npc inside a city.
then i wouldnt feel like i had lost it. even if i never could play it again.
when you pop in your mog house, your old char would be throwing a kegger, and trashed the house. the moogle would be throwing a fit trying to clean it all up.
