Waiting two hours to find a party, then getting an invite just as your wife walks in the door and says, "You're still playing FFXI?", and not understanding that you havn't actually played yet!

-Haveing an LS (Not NightsFallFavor) not help you do something when I asked. More time then I can remember (and never the same day maybe a few days down the road but always the same... no one says anything). /toss linkpearl

-Sitting in the Dunes as a level 10 - 19 thf and no invites for hours. (Yes even after 15, SA, no invites...) Come on people were still DD's!

Am I one of the few who find that rude? You never see a JP just /slap for no reason (at least I never have)
-To much pride to ask for help, till you need it so bad no one does....
-Watching your friends level so fast that you know theres no way to catch up to them for a long time.
-To see a friend leave.
-Getting one of the worst PT's in the world, when you die its all your fault and they kick you... Not the tank who would NEVER VOKE THE DA#M MOB!!

I had someone bit@hing about that a few nights ago.
-Starting the game just so you can play a game with someone a relizeing the chances of ever really playing (Partying) will most likely never happen since there a high level.
-Rude people with nothing better to do but /sh fights or swears at someone else... Um guys... /tell...
-Haveing so many "Things that suck"

Blowing the rest of your gil to exp a job that you don't really want to play, but will cuz your friend is in the pt, then having that friend say they are tired. ><

I've tried to get my wife to play, but she won't even attempt to watch. She will look at any new spells I get, but that is about it.

Things that don't quite suck, but make me go WTF?!?!?!
~ Outnuking your Taru Black mage
~ Curing for nearly as much as your hume white mage
~ All in the same party
~ As a Red/black mage.

In order of occurrence this weekend:
- Spending 40k on items (and having to sell a scroll you were saving for 36 WHM to get half of that) for avatar fights.
- Getting 2-houred to death by Ramuh 10 seconds from your Blood Pact timer being ready for your third SL.
- Searing Light failing to go off for the third time during the Titan fight. (Dubya tee freaking eff?)
- Astral Flow wearing off immediately after Searing Light failed.
The end result is 80k in the hole and 0/4 in avatar fights, which both SUCKS HARD and makes me feel incredibly gimped.
The other really sucky part... I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I've read every guide to them on the site, and I'm going by the book...

New stuff:
Being able to, from talking to all the NPCs, and watching a few cinemas from CoP, being able to correctly deduce the majority of the rest of the game's plotline, from rank six up thru ten.
Being in a party fighting crabs with no rdm or bard to dispel, and having a war/mnk who is taking 100 damage a hit as the MAIN tank, and then being told (as a WHM) to not cure so much, that you are drawing too much hate. And then, when you try to explain that you HAVE TO spam Cure IV's to keep the war/mnk tank alive, being told that "you are just unwilling to understand" and then being asked "Is this your first party?"
Not being able to complete PM 2-3 for a while, because the NPC you need to talk to happens to boot you from the game instead of letting you complete the mission.
Watching as a THF with TH4 can't make the bell you need for your AF NM fight drop for almost two to two and a half hours.
Seeing one of your closest rw friends leave FFXI for a while, so that means you won't be able to spend any time with that friend anymore, since the friend lives so far away with college and all...

I'll give you something that sucks. Four words: Yuhtunga and Yhoator maps. GRAR those things are useless!
Auction house undercutters. I'm not talking the people who undercut 1-2k off the original price. I'm talking the d!ckless wonders who take something and hack the price 4-5 hundred thousand gil just to sell their ****. Pardon me for being pissed about having to spend another 30k+ just to post my item because some ******* slashed the price.
A sincere ***** you and your undercutting habits goes out to anyone who undercuts an ungodly amount. It's a big load of ******** and your greed sickens me. Now pay me back all the gil I lost to post that item numerous times. ><

When you cast Curaga III, only to find the BRD and RDM simultaneously cast Divine Seal Curaga and you have just wasted a couple of hundred MP, and you need to start the ball rolling on your MP healing ALLLLL over again for no reason.
BLM/RDM/SMN/BRDs that think they actually are the WHM, (when there is quite clearly a bright white a red jam sandwich there) so every Silena, Cure, Erase etc is casted twice. Backup, <yes please> steal my job <No Thanks>.
When you ask someone in the party "Who do you want to haste?" or similar and they dont reply. Then get annoyed when you use <call>.

Hi Mikeyc - I remember you from a Promy run about 6 months ago; I'm pretty sure you were BLM at the time. Hope things are going ok for you, coz they weren't that nite. :(
As BLM, I've played the backup healer role and a few times as main healer. If it means that my party continues to xp and we can improve our chains, I will cast Divine Seal Curaga I or II, as needed. This allows the WHM (who should take a knee at the end of a fight) to get a few extra ticks of MP. As a BLM, I've got the "luxury" of resting my MP before engaging in the next fight. And just so you know, it's pretty standard at the end of a fight for the RDM or the BRD to do the curaga's - again, it allows the WHM to get some MP.
As a RDM, I am the WHM in my parties and have been since level 25.
If it bothers you to have backup healers, talk to them, parse out the responsibilities (WHM focuses on Tank and backup Tank, BRD focuses on puller and other DD). Should make everyone happy at that point... oh and no one is trying to "steal" your job.
And why would you ask who needs Haste? If you're at a level that gives you the spell, you should have a pretty darn good idea of who should have it... I don't ask truthfully.

I disagree, in cases like this thread.
6 months ago? Hon I cant remember what happened last weekend. I'm sad to hear that you didnt have fun back then. Hope it wasnt because of me. We all have bad days thats all I can say if i was in a bad mood.
I see your point in the reply but I was talking about how its irritating that I naturally stop healing to get up and do that Erase or silena in an instant then realise the BLM etc has already done it and I have to start healing again, OR if im up with a ton of MP then theres no need for others to feel the need to cast aswel, before I have had a chance.
I dont mean to sound like a twelve year old on a high horse but I have my 75 BLM and BRD and I know from experience when there is a time to help out. In very rare cases sometimes you feel someone is treading on my toes. Its not the end of the world, just a bit irritating.
Sorry to steal your thunder, but when there are four melee to haste in a burn party 70-75 it is polite for the WHM to ask the RDM who they would like to haste, rather than saying "OI YOU... YOR A RDM WHICH MAKES YOU A HASTE-REFRESH MACHINE!!!" Generally, I find I haste the tank and the RDM does the other melees.

I know it has probally been said 1,000 times but not being able to find a Non- powerleveled party in the dunes, then running into the same Gimp Tanks and mages getting me killed in Qufim
One thing that sucks is how dull the Bismarck forum has become. :(

- People that force d/c. All I gotta say is, suck it up you little bitch. If you don't like the party, find yourself a replacement and leave. Don't just pull the plug and hope the party's gone when you come back.
- People that say they're "not doing this." (Most recent example being the party my brother's in as I type this.) DNC is the only person in the party with a ranged attack and she's "not pulling," so they have been reduced to my brother pulling with Provoke on MNK. -_-
- And my all-time favorite thing to hate... People that toss out the "I have 75 [insert job here] like they're God and because of this you're supposed to do everything they say. If you wanna offer me some constructive criticism, great. I'll gladly give it a shot. But if you're gonna try to TELL me how to do my job, go fuck yourself. Last time I checked, I'm the one paying $12.95 a month for this account.

-Accidently aggro'ing a mob and when zoning, you have x amount of hp left yet you somehow don't zone [although you definitely don't remember dying] only to find out that you couldn't zone because you died -.-
