(Ive posted this on the main forum, but since it happened on Bismarck... I added it here)

Im gonna have to rant a little, because lately ive heard too much of this:

Last night in Jeuno, someone (no need for names) was shouting for some high level hlep on genkai 2. The person had an allaince going, something like 11/18, but she wasnt calling for more members, but for specifically help from higher ups. She was saying: Pay back the help you got aeons ago...

Well thats the thing im tired of hearing: Im a lvl 69 PLD and for most thing, i didnt get any help!. I was in the first NA to strat playing this, and there were no high players to hlep us do the missions/af/limit breaks. We had to find out for oursleves, and beat the game fair and square. But the worst part is that the game can be beaten.

For genkai 2, there were 18 of us all from 52-55. I happened to be the highest tank at 52, and i tanked it. I died once, but it was a spell error more then anything else, Flare got me. The fights went smoothly, we even had to do a mob twice caus someone died (Sidewinder lol bad idea) and coudnt be raised in time to grab the piece. It was not overly tough. (

When i told this to person shouting, i got: Ya well others didnt do so well, and thanks for your concern. Thats my whole point really, maybe the people who didnt go so well should see why it didnt go so well. People get lazy, and never learn how to play their jobs at the full potential, because they skip these moment of truths. Its true, managing an alliance for genkai 2 is bloody hell, everything aggroes on the way, and often its the first time people actually need to be in an alliance. Buts its a learnign experience, and if you skip it, you are cheating yourself of valuable experience for the future. (Like Dynamis...)

Dont get me wrong, im very active in my LS and outside of it, always around to help. But some fights out there should be kept the way the game intended it...

I'm not quite sure you can say anything was intended to be a certai nway by the game. Yes, it may seem tragic that newer people are getting mroe help than they need, but some aren't. Many are doing what they can on their own or in lower level parties. It's jsut a part of any MMORPG, that the higher will be called (sometimes not so politely) to help the young. Thankfully, the old can use good discresion and common sense as to when they should help and when they should step aside and let the newer players figure their own way out.

Kingpopof

There are different personality/level of skills of players on Bismarck.

There is no point giving them good suggestions when they are still in the baby stage.

They don't understand your point of view, not until they have experienced it.

And that is why when more and more people get into higher levels, we'll start to see the distinction between the good players and bad players more clearly. As some groups of people attempt high end content and fail miserably, the players who know their job well will be the ones ripping up the high end content.

I agree with Kingpopof although I've had the high level help in some things I've done so far (Marchelute, Rank 5 although I tried to solo it till I got stuck in castle Oz, stupid Conquistadors).

I think the lower level players like myself need to read this and take advice from it. My hope is that I can gather the people necessary to do this rather than have some level 75's come carry me through it, there's no sense of accomplishment that way.

I agree a lot with what you are saying...

I don't want to ask people of higher levels to please help me because of the fact that there is nothing I can possibly offer to help them with in return. And in respect to those higher levels i have managed to make friends with in the game, the last thing i want is for them to think i am only talking to them to get game help...

I dunno, I even feel awkward asking my ls for help for that reason lol.

Very true, Very true indeed. High level help is never needed, It's a relief to those lazy players that don't like to do **** on their own, but hey. That's them for ya.

A few weeks ago I organized my own G2 alliance, And it was fairly easy. Just got three people together and shouted in Lower, Port, and Upper. Had three full parties in about thrity minutes. Rangers owned the tigers, and My Penta Thrust did 1600 to the Dog. So far, I've solo'd all of my AF save for AF1 and 2(NM fights suck, man.) I got the key in Quicksands and Boyahda tree with my set. And found the coffers thirty minutes later. We all went and got our keys for AF gloves and went to fight Sparky that night. six level 55's. And, for my AF1-5 we'll be going to Ifrit's Cauldron to EXP and get the keys. (Bee's there are numerous and are VT - IT.) Then, To Temple of Tonberries. I do have high level friends that do still need the Drachen Armet, so they'll be tagging along for that anyway.

But, Seriously people. High level help is NOT needed all the time. You make think it is for Genkai1, because Liches just seem like ********! But, You don't. Just get a pt of 50's together and go kill liches. We did!

"Oh, Look! A Dragoon! He's nerfed, He sucks!"
