Hello everyone.

This morning I found out that the wife of a good friend of mine at work had passed away over the weekend. I had only met her 2 times so I didn't know much about her, but when I did talk to her she seemed like a great person. She called a lot though, and I never thought twice to even ask her how she was doing today, any type of human dialogue, and now I am sorry. I know she will be greatly greatly missed by her husband and family.

That being said, I just wanted to take this opporunity to remind everyone to think before they speak.

Sometimes we forget that there is another human being on the other end of that character that is irritating the hell out of us. We call names, we cuss people out and treat them like less than human. We all do it once in a while, no matter how kind we think we are, I know I myself and guilty of that.

Let's all try to remember that we are all playing this game for FUN, trying to meet new friends and great people across the world! Please dont get so caught up in the xping and the "I must be better then so-and-so" to forget to treat everyone you meet with respect and kindness, or you might one day live to regret it as well.

/cry

every1 makes mistakes and nobody can judge you for it, you didnt know this person on a personnal or social level, but the fact that you care about their feelings at this time does you more credit than you think.

And what you said is right, we all should try and treat everyone we meet as a person. Even if that person is the kind who is offensive or victomizes other players for any reason, theres no reason why you should sink to their level.

The same kind of ignorant moron who would rate a post like this down is the same kind of punk that goes to construction sites and tips over porta-johns. Stupid ignorant thoughtless asses that have no concept of other peoples feelings except their own. Very sociopathic behaivor.

Sorry for your sadness...hopefully it will pass soon.

I'm really not good with these kind of posts, but (and I should've posted this earlier) I can relate. I lost a friend like that this year. Hadn't talked to him in a year, and then just one day, I find out he ODs on his meds. We used to be really close when he lived around here but when he moved away we just got distant. Then, yeah, reality happens.

It's why I'm not so eager to jump down people's throats in the game like I used to be, but I still don't hesitate to tell them when I'm upset. I know it's just a game but these are real people playing this game so it's not the AI being an idiot, it's them. I [almost] always give people a second chance (unless you REAAAALLLLLY ticked me off the first time), and I don't believe in the "first impression" because people are always so nervous and are never themselves the first time you meet them, and in game, how would you know if the person maybe was a good guy (or gal!) but was just having a bad day?

I like to think of myself as the "nice guy" but with "who doesn't take any crap" added onto it. If I give someone respect I expect it back, and if I don't get it, it's a person I don't really care to associate with, if that makes any sense.
