I used to play on the Ifrit server years ago and am thinking of coming back. I was going to try the Bahamut server but I'm not sure because I would hate to join a server that had almost nobody playing. Last time I paid the monthly fee to get on my Ifrit account to my dismay there was nobody for miles. I probably will just make a new character to avoid the $25 fee SE pinned on world transfer but I wanted to know if it was worth it to come back and play. The last bit I remember playing was the beginning of the wings of the goddess expansion. Please any feedback or comments are welcome. I would like to enjoy this game again with many people. ^_^

Vamp, I just started replaying to...infact so much that i've noobed myself out...But logging on today, I'm seeing quite a bit of folks on there. I'm playing on X360. But there are alot of people.

Well, I did in fact return, starting a new account on this server. I actually am meeting lots of people. I notice that during the early morning hours EST there are more than 4k players at times. Most of them are JPN players but it's nice to know many people still play this. Normally when I log on I see around 2-2.5k people online. I just got the update for lv95... -_- another 3 hour update. But i imagine more people will be online at least for a couple weeks. I'm glad I came back. Anyone want to party with me and do Nation missions, or any of the older expansions, Chains of Promathia especially, hit me up. My character name is CresseliaX.
Hey there, if your interested i'll be joining back on around sept 26-28th, due to my PC being shipped. I have nearly 9 others who are starting from scratch like me, and will be joining me as well. We'll create a linkshell, and take over the gizame :D
Anyway, if you want me to - i'll add you in game, let me know your character names - if your interested.
I think most of us are starting in bastok since its right next to leaping lizzy and some other nm's xD - but anyway

Hey Angel, I'd be interested in joining as well. I'm not making a new character any time soon because I just transfered my old character there, but I would definitely like to join your linkshell. I have the Paladin class unlocked and it's still quite low in levels so I could tank. :) ... This is on Bahamut server right? If so my character name is Alboro! :D

Also, to answer the OPs question. I read that Bahamut is one of the most populated servers on a forum as well as a 2011 server population website. You won't see as many people in the starter cities as you will in Jeuno and Whitecastle(or whatever its called, haha:P)
Alright man, i'll go edit your name onto my other forum's list so others can add you there, and i'll toss you a linkshell and all that when i'm able to get on - should be 2-3 more days until i'm good to go.

Im a returning player also and would like to join you guys. I have my old character but started a new one since ive missed out on the majority of FFXI. I stopped playin within 2yrs of release and 64pld was my highest. In game names Maneks/Manekz.

I'm considering returning too. I am getting a new computer and am looking for a MMO to play and always come back to this. I just am looking for a good close to full server. Any ideas? I use to be a 72 smn and i think 68 Pup. I cant just walk away from this game. I played WoW for a few years but it's no FFXI. lol =)
