Official Help Request Thread [Bahamut United]Follow

I'm willing to provide help to anyone who needs it... currently level 50 Red Mage / 21 Black Mage. I've stopped leveling to get my subs (BLM/SMN) to level 25, and to get genkai items, so usually when I'm online, I'm not doing anything important (unless I'm in a good party in Qufim... and that never happens).

That being said, I am rather desperate to find help with the Genkai 1 items. Being without linkshell is kinda pain...

My timezone is: GMT+2:00, so if you need help, and I'm online, give me a tell...

Im looking for help to build an alliance to get my WHM af3 out of the way, Im on almost all the time, and if Im not, send a tell to sylphanah, my wife, shes on more than I am, send a tell to Mystnight if you wanna lend a hand.

I don't mind helping people. I really don't. But I hate waiting on people. I hate it when I go to get a coffer key for someone they don't know where to go. They don't bring silent oils or powders. I have a whopping 116MP, and it really makes me mad when they say "Sneak invis...." Totally unprepared. Once I got 70 BST, I was going to take a break from EXP'ing and help people and do events. Try to get rank 10, that sort of thing. Waiting on unprepared people is a PAIN. Especially when you help them.

I'll help out. But bring Silent oils and Powders, and know where you're going. :)

This is an official plea for help.

For a couple days now, I've been searching for my coffer key in Castle Oztroja. Needless to say, it hasn't gone well. Pickup parties in Jeuno just aren't cutting it, as they're either there for too short a time or end in disaster.

This is my call for help. Anyone willing to run to Castle Oztroja with me to knock out some Yagudos is very welcome. The mobs we have to fight are Level 62-72, so bring your weapon to skill up of choice.

Some friends of mine would like to do 5-1 in Fei Yin tomorrow (10.27.04). If not tomorrow then very soon. We need DDs preferably in the form of monk because the BCNM is a bunch of skeletons >.> (yeah like there's many of us). Anyway DRK and RNG are good too. So far we have 2 WHMs who will alternate, myself (MNK), a DRK and a BLM. When my LS broke the record I think our setup was WHM MNK MNK MNK MNK RDM? I'm not sure if it was RDM or not. Anyway, if you are interested let me know. Also, if you aren't a DD and still need to do it I'm sure that can be arranged. We plan to do it 2 or 3 times switching around everyone.

I think we would have to split the gil if we did it that way, so that the mages could get their just reward, unless they have altruistic reasons and just want to see the shouts of glee and happiness erupt from us. lol ^^ that means 100k for each person if we split kote gil since it runs at 600k, but the chances of us getting the kote are very high since we will camp in such numbers, which is as you say, strength. Thanks for replying man, great thread, im finally finding viable options to my misfortune. Im up for it, I'll be looking for you in game. I reaally hope we get our kotes. anyone interested in that 100k or just want to help us poor guys out, please post with info so we can hook up in game. thanks again jersey, excellent thread.

Alright -- I am making MY official call for help. I need help...with this. I bit off a little more than I can chew with this, I had no idea how great of a server we truely had and you all came out of the woodwork to prove that to me. I love you all for it, but I could use some help working this all out.

I have a ton of volunteers, and plenty of people who need help - and I wanna see it through. So, how can we organize times and schedule these things? I've never ran a LS, I've never done this. Suggestions for how to organize these events are very welcome guys.

Perhaps a linkshell (BahamutUnited) would be in order? Not a static LS that you have to keep on or whatever, just a way to communicate with each other. We can schedule an event with a tenative time, and be able to see exactly who is on at the moment, jobs, levels, etc. If you all see the way that could work, I'll go buy it right now.

Thoughts?

I'll tell you this -- I may be one guy, and not sure how to do this -- but I sure as hell am not gonna give up on you all.

You know this is getting really long... and hard to follow....

Maybe somone should donate their Journal to this? (I'll do it if Jersey prophet cant/doestn want to.) It'll make it a bit easier to follow...

I think all three ideas are excellent ...linkshell, website, journal.

I agree, very hard to follow, but this just proves how necessary this is.

JP's right. I'll even throw some cash in to buy one. I thought that if you are available for help, enter the LS as active. If you're busy with other things, use your primary LS. Can we meet in jeuno tonight to take care of it, or should we make 3 of them, one for each town? In other words, one for sandy help, one for bastok, and one for Windy. This way if you're in a special area and plan on staying there for a bit, you can help others in need when they shout. Also, every person in the shell should be a sack holder, so they can make pearls for those whom wish to join.

Bottom line:Four linkshells total. Jeuno, Sandy, Bastok and Windy.

I'll volunteer to get Sandys, and will call it Bahamut United.
Any volunteers for the others?

Let me know if I'm doing this, or not...feed back pls.

Jersey- As for Organizing your Journal. We could use it as a help hub until a final solution is made. Easy way to organize. Just make threads ahead of time ^_^

I know about inventory space and not having enough. I'm maxxed out gobbie bag and mog safe. Even my mule is hurting. OK then, I'm down with the journal idea. That way if you're on for helping one particular day, post in. If you see me, I'd like to have a pearl for the allakhazam ppl. I'll be in Jeuno tonight to get a pt for my 45 SAM, around 630pm EST. /tell me and I'll meet ya somewhere. Better yet, if anyone is 45 and feels like an exp pt, I'd be more than happy to join/organize.

I can help you tonight if I can. I may only be a 45 SAM/RNG, but I can take a few hits and start a few SC's. Or, my WHM is 43.

Two little things. First, the 2.3 dragon is a level 25 cap, not a 30, and second, if you're doing it at 5pm on Saturday I will be at work >.< I don't get home till 9pm PST. But, I'm not the sleeper or the DD so you'll be fine. :)

I would be more than willing to start up a LS for these events. I like to think with all the time I spend online, I could(with help) set up these events. Heck, maybe even get through some promyverion runs for everyone here too. If there is really interest, leave a note here with some name/color ideas. No need to donate funds, just be online and in jeuno for a pearl if the interest is high.

I just wanted to be explicit about a point that a few others have touched on here: please please please if you're going to ask for help with AF1/2/3 mobs or missions like the dragons please make sure you have done all the prep work well before the appointed time.

There's nothing more frustrating than dropping what you're doing, and going to help someone and then cooling your heels for an hour while they do the prep work for the missions >< This has happened to me many times and it's crappy on all sides.

If anyone would be so kind to help me kill the NM in Davoi that drops the warriors axe, I need this weapon very much, because it rules.......

bought Plantbane....but it's giving me same attack rating as the Moth axe?! and yes i could farm for few weeks after exam to get the axe...but i only need it for 5 lvls XD
