Hi, I'm new to FFXI and am having trouble choosing a world. I'd like one that's still active, and primarily English speaking.

Is Asura a good fit for this?

As far as i can tell this server is pretty active. I have been on this server for 3 days and found 2 social LS's. Contact Morisota, this shell usually has about 5-10 people on. My IGN: Raynman

There's a mix of languages on every server, but there are no "Japanese servers" or "English servers." While actual numbers obviously vary, all the servers are just a mix of people. Asura is a decent sized server, and it has a lot of NA/EU players. Like any other server though, during Japanese prime time, there's going to be a lot of Japanese players on and fewer English speakers.
