i hope the game catches me for a while cause the weather is just
about to be bad again and i am looking forward to spend some time
for this game.
further more, i am really curious about the pvp section. i know
nothing from the game .. *smile*

Welcome to FFXI and more importantly Pandemonium Ver.2 (Asura)!
I have to tell you that the PvP content in FFXI isn't great and not as popular as you might be hoping. I have played for almost seven years now and I only have 1 friend on my full list that ever wants to play PvP. Don't let this put you off though as the storyline, gameplay and enjoyability of the game is incredible. Having to work to achieve things gives you a nice sense of accomplishment and FFXI will make you work for what you want (unless you are the head of an event shell and have minions who will do the work for you).
There's a lot of really nice people around, but there will always be a jackass or two that you should simply ignore. Of course, you've been playing for two weeks now so you probably already know this.
If you need anything, look me up and I'll be happy to give any advice I can.
