Hello, I'm an old returning player and a Dragoon. I'm here to humbly ask for help with all the quests, starting with Atop the highest mountain, which I read requires an alliance.
If you are kind enough to help me, bare with me: alot of FFXI I DO understand and I don't understand even more. If you're a linkshell looking to help me, tell me why you want to help and when you can. I really have almost no schedule and can be on any day, except when my friends call me for a game. My player name is Trajnis and you might've heard me acting insane in jeuno, so i apologize to those who heard my outburst. (handle is codybb) and if this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize and ask that you move this to the correct forum and give me a warning. note that I am a fast learner.

No Maat quests require alliances.

Have a nosey at the below link and you'll get an idea of what I mean.

LB2 (which you're on) can now be soloed by most jobs at level 90.

Best of luck.
Likibiki ~ 75 WHM ~ 75 SAM ~ 75 THF ~ 75 SMN ~ 74 NIN
Pandemonium Server, FFXI. Retired. Gone but not forgotten.
Cailey ~ 90 DNC ~ 90 RDM ~ 90 BLM
Asura Server, FFXI. Adventurer Extraordinaire.

G2 can be soloed by a level 90 as Likibiki said. Someone in Port Jeuno should be able to help if you can manage to get them out of Abyssea for long enough!

If you've got a way to do Sneak+Invis (magic, meds, etc), G3 is soloable as well, it just takes some patience and a clear head. You'll need a few key items first (Yagudo Torch, Crimson Orb, etc), but once you've got those you can get yourself through it. Just make sure you start Castle Oztroja at 0:00 in game to give you the most amount of time to get all the passwords. You'll also need some form of speed increase for the final part there; Sprinter Shoes work well.

G4 is also soloable, just takes some time. You just need 4 Kindred's Seals. Any guide has the locations of the NPCs you need. If the Ease of Exploration Kupower is up, it's a cinche, otherwise it takes a bit longer.

G5, obviously, is soloable ^^ No choice on that one. Just beat Maat's ass!

G6 onwards aren't quests really, you just need Kindred's Seals or Crests and stored merit points, so you'll accumulate those over time.
