New Role Playing Linkshell on the Asura ServerFollow

Hello and thank you for your interest in this post.

A few of my friends and I have gotten together and started a new Role Playing Linkshell called CrestOfTheStars here on the Asura server.

We welcome people of all experience levels with RPing to visit our website and enquire about a pearl there, or in game.

At present, we aren't heavy on the rules. Mainly we ask that you RP "fairly" and remember to use brackets for OOC chat. More details can be found on our Shell forums.

We are still new and looking for more people to join in the fun. Some of my mods and I already have RP events and stories for everyone to join in the works!

If you're new to RP we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and teach you how. Experienced members are welcomed to ask any questions they may have as well.

You may send a tell in game to Harisu, Lunaii, or Naomei for a pearl or with questions about the shell. And for anyone who has no idea what this is about, roleplaying is all about acting like an actual citizen of Vana'diel. Anything you say or do is what your avatar would do in that situation. So there's no talk of what you did on the weekend, or the latest movies you've seen, or about levelling in Abyssea. Instead you might talk about monsters you've hunted, or quests you've done for people, or training you've completed. It's a shift in the way you think, but it's a lot of fun, and most people who get into it find themselves becoming amateur writers as part of the deal *laughs*

I don't have a pearlsack, but I am a member of CrestOfTheStars, and if you want an example of what roleplay is like before joining the shell, please look me or anyone else from the shell up in game and we'll happily give you a taste of what it's all about.

Asura has a long and fruitful history of roleplayers, so I'm hoping there are still people out there just looking for a place to come home to.

Hi Velderin! It's great to hear from you! Jump on over to our forums for a bit more info. We're still struggling for a core member base at the moment which is our main issue right now, but more people obviously helps with that. Weekends tend to be better for people, but we do get a couple of people on in the evening EU time.

What is the GMT+/- on CST? I'm in Australia, so Central doesn't mean a whole lot to me, much like AEST or ADST probably doesn't mean much to you ^^ I'm GMT+10 right now, and tend to be online late in my evening (think after 10pm).

Yes, that's perfect ^^ That means you're playing 9am to 3pm my time. Unfortunately I'm not going to have a whole lot of crossover with you unless it's during the weekend (or I log in at work which I do occasionally), but I'll do my best to try and get you a pearl tomorrow if you're around. Try and /tell me if you see me since if I'm at work I probably won't be actively looking for people. I've got WHM levelled though with all the teleport spells and plenty of OP warps so I can typically get anywhere in Vana'diel in 5-10 minutes.

It's still the same pearl as the last incarnation of the shell Whisper; I don't remember if you'd left and started Gauntlet by that stage though.

If by whatshisface you mean Hierax, he still plays. Hypatia has moved onto FF14 though.
