Looking for social linkshell full of new players to level with and do missions/quests. I am planning to start out by leveling warrior all the way up to the lvl required for advanced job, either Sam or DRK.

I will worry about subjob after.

I will probably not quest or do missions until i have gotten started as Sam or DRK, then i'll switch goals.

I've come back to FFXI after a two year "break". I missed it so much and am already loving being back.

My toon is a mithra named Kaelianna from Windurst. I'm just looking for friends and people who wouldn't mind helping an old player get back into the swing of things :)

Just transfered to server, persuaded my friend and his missus to return to ffxi as well and create new chars here.

Tarutaru in home town of Bastok by the name of "Hondahoorz" - lvl 69 WHM (not beat maat yet, Maat=2 Me=0, need to cap skills)

Play on Xbox360 (tag:-"Hondahoorz ver2"), use xbox voice chat as my friend is dyslexic, but i do the typing in chat etc. for him.

Left last serve as kept gettting frustrated with people there who were selfish and inconsiderate to low level players, heard this server was better and after running around with a low level noob to test it out, it is.

Looking for people who like being social, having a laugh etc.
not too fussed about doing missions/rank until my friend has his char higher.

Would like to finish my rank 9 mission in Bastok some time, never been able to get enough black mages together to kill the bloomin mob....and yes, i did try it solo first time, mega failure....lol

I started the game back when it was first released for the PC. I played for a month and quit until the PS2 release. My laptop was <Too Weak>. I quit in 06( I was burnt out) With FFXIV coming out I really want to get a lot of goals I had completed. I have to start from scratch but things seem a bit smoother, I don't want to necessarily say easier. I'm currently working on getting my Mnk and War out of the dunes. Get Nin and level it to 37. And then level my Thf to 75! I'm in a LS focused on CoP but I would love to join a LS that wants to work on doing Rank Missions, Sky etc.

Hi I used to play FFXI way back during its initial release in NA, but never truly got into the game. Now with some free time I hope to give this game another shot. I'm currently trying out the free trial first(just started, literally),but if things are good I DO plan on getting my own copy.

I just started a Hume Monk with the name Khilkyll. I was going to be a magic based job, but I heard it may be difficult soloing in the early part of the game on my own, so I decided to follow a simpler route.

Hey everyone, just came back to FFXI after awhile to keep in touch with long distance friends. Also, my character got deleted so I had to make a new one; so sad. Anyway any server help/ a friendly LS would be great.

Also, I AM IN NEED OF SUBJOB ITEMS! All I need is the bloody robe for the Mhuara quest. Can anyone help? My friend and I both need them, so if you are kind enough to help me find two robes I will give many a /bow.

I've been playing this game very casually over the last 4-5 years. I don't really play this game for the endgame/HNM aspect of it, but I always love to help out. I have been shell-less since my return about two months ago and it is actually pretty lonely. I would love to find a social ls that does quests/bcnms/missions and all that good stuff, but mostly looking for a good ls to crack jokes with as I'm getting beaten to a pulp by random mobs.

As many of you, I have been away from this game a long time. So long in fact that I think I qualify as both a 'new' and returning player at the same time.
I am starting from scratch and I am leveling up Mage classes atm. I am a Rank 2 Taru Fiend, 15whm/14blm/1rdm (soon to level that up as well) and then I plan on moving to the melee classes after this. I am fully enjoying this game but like any MMO, a big part of the fun is being able to team up with others, crack jokes, and help other people; soloing gets tiresome sometimes.
I would love to find a good linkshell to fill the other half of what online games are all about. I don't know if anyone wants to sponsor a noob but I would be glad for some company. In game name same as forum name 'Rukkh'

I'm looking for some friends or even a linkshell that would help me out as a 'new' player. I am not entirely new to the game. I used to play on Bahamut. I quite awhile back and am returning and starting anew. Though my bahamut characters still exist, I can't really afford to transfer them and I figured starting fresh would be my best bet anyways (I've forgotten anything I once knew).

I just started again today. I'll be on a lot, since I don't have much else to do at the moment. Please hit me up, I'd very much like to get into FFXI again and make some friends. I was playing Aion for awhile, but I got bored of it as soon as I reached end game and wasnt interested in rolling a new character just to go through that boring grindfest again; all my friends had quit too so I really had nothing keeping me there.

Edit: Oh and I am in the EST time zone. My awake hours during the day are usually 11am-4am (sometimes even up to 7am -- I don't sleep much and I tend to be online alot. Playing Aion on a PST server made me change my sleeping patterns to be able to play with my friends. I'd sometimes still be up when my fiance would be heading out to work at 8am @_@)

WHM Hume, name Menae, in the Bastok area. Been a looooong time since I've played 11, and I never got past 35ish the first go round. Looking forward to partying again, but the Dunes, quite frankly, scare me. Hope there are enough people on to potentially make a full group with.

I havent played for 2-3 years, and friends moved to Asura and harrassed me into moving here, so I came here. Might be looking soon for a HNM or Sky LS. I already have a lot of experience with mayor HNMs like Jormundgand, Vrtta, Adamantoise, King Behemoth, all of the gods in Sky, dynamis, etc etc

I like to have fun, so if you cant stand a squirel on sugar and steroids , go lick and groom a random mithras kitty furr.

Edit~Oh yeah, the important stuff: Im a hume female from Bastok, I like long walks in the beach, candlelight diners, and kicking random mandragora till they do that "Uh oh!" squeak, and Im a firm believer that chicken is the proof that God wanted men to be happy.
