Also interested in Dynamis and maybe even a static party for one of my jobs. I am currently going to try to level up SCH for a sub, while I level SMN and another melee to 75. I am very helpful as well and if you need a WHM for anything I will try my best to help out :D

BLM75 SAM75 freshly returned, added a new toon so I can level up with my wife's new THF (@36). Looking to hook up with a group of rerolls/returning players (a new linkshell, perhaps?) for the whole gamut - levelling the lowbies, blasting some 75 content in between.

Hey! I'm a brand new player! Just started last night on Asura with a Tarutaru White Mage. I'm level 6 right now and still trying to kill stuff (really slowly :().
I'm on the West Coast of the United States so my time zone is GMT-8 and I usually am able to play most hours of the day.
I'm looking for people to meet and play with that can teach me stuff about the game!

Jobs: 26PLD is my "main" job now. Have a few jobs, leveled in the 20's, highest is 55mnk.
I've been back for a little over a week. I've helped quite a few people out already getting their Kazham keys, also subjob items. Thus far I’m pretty unhappy with the two LS's I’ve tried. No one seems to be willing to help anyone and it’s normally full of a bunch of young people. Not that there’s anything wrong with the age group, it’s just I’d prefer something at least 20+
I enjoy helping others and going out of my way to help the guild or in this case Link shell for simplicity I'll just call it "The Group". I just find it's important to lend a hand when you can, people appreciate it and it allows the group to grow stronger as a whole. Allowing more opportunities and growth. But the group has to have structure and good leadership to make it work. I like structure. That's what I’m looking for :)
Things I would like help on.
Rank 5, I’m down to the last two steps but things con easy at level 55 can't finish it on my own. Can get about 80% to the location just need an escort for that last 20% heh.
Things I would like.
Mature LS helpful laid back with structure. Something a bit more serious with perhaps a few expectations from everyone.

As far as things to do when I return, where do I begin. I really would like to get down on some CoP, I am currently on 2-5. I would like to get as close to sea access as I can before I get the last five levels of my job. Speaking of which I need help farming a Blue Mage's Testimony for the The Beast Within quest. Also if anyone would like to farm eye clusters for the hakutaku fight that would be cool. I'm pretty much down for anything, and have a lot of time on my hands. Feel free to /tell me in game, I hope that any of my friends who I had remember me. It would be nice to have those connections I had in game before but I do not mind making new friends if you have a linkshell with a good fun positive attitude and that is willing to put up with my strangeness than I would be happy to join. One of my favorite things about this game was that it was a good way to make friends.

Just started back up after being inactive for two years. I didn't have a buy a new box this time which is nice. I didn't end up starting over because I brought two friends with me so my lvl 21WHM/12THF is now gone from Bahamut.
Don't really need anything, just saying hi. Friend me if you don't mind chatting with a few rookies that appparently invite death way too often. Linkshell invite would be nice, noticed a lot of people around Bastok aren't exactly low level these days so a few more people to party up with would be cool.

I'm a reroll. I used to play several years ago was, Rng/Nin, War/Nin, and Whm/Blm for my static. We had a rotating system down where we'd all take turns tanking, healing, DD, so nobody got bored.
Currently a Redmage to blast through some early levels and get some quick money.
Endgame plans are for Ranger for DD, Whitemage, or possibly paladin for tanking, but I'll have to see.
What I'm lookin for: LS for socials and any old low-level dusty gear you might have laying about that you don't need. Also looking to start up static leveling group, I don't like to PuG things.
My hours are flexible and I typically like to party for 2-3 hours at minimum.

I previously played from about a year after NA release until shortly after the release of WotG, then quit and eventually lost the toon... Now it's time to do it all again! I'm on Sandy rank 5, CoP 4-2, and have yet to start others. Look me up if you need some hawt SAM deepz or want to do CoP 4-2 and higher (up thru the 60cap stuff)
Also, potentially looking for a new social ls, hit me in game. I'll be on late night (11pm/later CST) Mon-Wed, anytime Thurs/Fri, or afternoon/evening Sat/Sun

i just started playing again...i used to be bile on the fenrir server like 4-5 years ago but ended up deleting my char...i've been feeling nostalgic so i picked the game up again...im Wuji now...lvl 10 war...i'd really appreciate anyone sending a pearl my way...this game is pretty lonely without an ls...
it's strange... this game has really changed...bastok is pretty much empty...n it seems like everything has gotten more expensive...n there's almost no lower lvl equipment for sale at the AH in bastok it seems like..or they're just not there in the greater quantities they used to be...its probably all in jeuno or something..or maybe elvaan AH..idk..parties look like they're scarcer too...overall doesn't seem as new user friendly...hopefully its just a lil hump that needs to be gotten over...im sure it'll start being more fun once i get my subjob...
but yeah.. i'd really appreciate an ls...75% of this game is interacting w/ the people in it..maybe even more...

I'm a washed up pretty cool FFXI Veteran looking to check out what's new in the world. :) My name is a bit up in the air as I'm returning on a trial account while I attempt to recover my original account. I used to be a 75 WHM/PLD/BRD/WAR and some other misc jobs that I honestly can't remember. I miss my pretty kitty! Back in the day (wow it's been ~4ish years...) I was in a very hardcore LS camping HNMs even when I was deathly ill, but I want to take it easy while I get back into the swing of things. I just started playing again tonight. I am a returning player from 3 years ago. I hear this is a nice server to join. I will be playing a Galka, cause I just enjoyed it last time. Before that I played a taru. This is my 3rd time returning to the game. I've been doing some research, and I like the changes to the game. I quit last time because lack of funds. I'm starting fresh as well as many others. I played FFXI about two years ago and played a 65mnk/war. I'm not a fresh elvaan monk from Bastok. If you see me please feel free to /wave or /whisper me. Hopefully I'll be able to find an active and helpful LS so I enjoy as much of FFXI as possible until XIV is released. Thanks!

I'm a 23 year old male digital artist from california. I've been playing WoW regularly since before its release but lately I've been looking to give FFXI another shot.
Basically I'm looking for a friendly LS to party and lvl my characters with, because as with most MMOs it's the people you play with that make it fun. That seems to be doubly true for FFXI where solo play is not encouraged.
I have very little experience with FFXI (I only played it briefly when it first came out 5 years ago) But I'm a quick learner and i promise to keep the newb questions to an absolute minimum. Aside from that I'd love to party up with some cool people, help out whatever linkshell takes me in, and experience this game to its fullest. ^_^
I'm available most weekdays after work hours, fridays and saturdays as well.

Well I played for 3 weeks, left it for a few months and then came back. It's been great fun so far.
I'm looking for a nice friendly social LS who have some brits in. My current LS is really nice, but I find myself alone until evening time. :(

So thanks to encouragement from Pergatory and other posters, I am joining Asura
I don't know for sure what race/nation I'll be yet, but I plan on focusing on Blue Mage as my main. With it, I'll be raising THF WAR NIN SMN WHM BLM as well as dabbling in the other jobs and learning about Scholar and Dancer since they are new to me.
I have played before. Quite a long time. I got the game with pre-order back in 2003 (October) and played many characters, many nations, many ranks and servers and accounts even. I've put everything into my gameplay and my cocky self says "I do things right" and if I don't, I learn from it and improve. A lot of jobs I didn't take very far because I wasn't confident in being what I can be.
My gear is of course dependant on income, but when it comes to skillchaining, SATA, Refresh, Healing, Blood Pacts, etc.. I got that down. Like riding a bike, they say.
I hope I don't come off as arrogant, I just want to show that I can be of use to you and won't let you down. I pride myself on helping others in every aspect of my life. If you have a question I will try to find the answer. If you need a mission completed, let's get some people together.
I can't promise when I'll be on, I told myself I would only play when I had time. Homework, my job, and my Photography come first. I believe it's important to have a good social life and to stay active, but when I run out of money, you can only do so much til it effects your wallet, so no matter how I slice it, I have 2hrs a night at least to play, gauranteed.
Last but not least, I am bringing a friend with me who is new to the game. I will show her the ropes and be there to help her when she needs it, but sometimes she may be on when I'm not, and I want a good linkshell that we can call home and be comfortable with.
Basically we want to be involved. If I wanted to play by myself I'd be in WoW still which would be much easier, or I could just download a game and play that. FFXI is all about groups and relying on others.
If we sound like good candidates for your linkshell, let me know. I am open to a few linkshells but will want one general use one. I'm hoping for a good amount of pearl holders and though a central leader.. having folks to maintain the peace when they aren't on.
Handouts I'm not too worried about. Just need folks to talk with, party with, and enjoy the experience with as we grow together.
