Hey guys,
Been well over a year since I have played FFXI and I am thinking of making a comeback to try the new jobs, see if anyone I know still plays, etc.
So what is the state of the game? I checked out KillingIfrit and it looks like that site is dead now. What are the big sites now that I could get some good game info on (besides this one of course)? Have the raised the level limit?
Sorry about all the questions, but I am curious to know what the scope is.

That place has everything you can imagine. I would go there first for information, as it tends to be more reliable and reliably updated. KI, Alla, and Atlas seem to still have interesting errors, such as rank mission instruction errors for mission 5-1 (alla), and I just found that atlas has the Bard Sagahins in Sea Serpent Grotto listed as True Sight >.>
Wiki is your best bet for accurate information.

That's because it's an NM, and it is in fact True sight.

SUPER BANNED FOR FAILING TO POST 20K IN A TIMELY MANNER
I wouldnt bother, people to wrapped up with campaigns, okay for couple of days or so, but after that the novelty wears off. I came back after 2 years out,Everyone to busy doing new content to get xp parties, gave up after a 6 weeks and went to LotR.
Nice and fresh non reliant on full parties, no standing around for hours waiting on NM pops, no crafting for hours for 5 points, good pvp area where you can farm and quest, mature attitude from players, economy is balanced.

Who said anything about an NM? I looked it up since you didn't get what I meant by Bard Sagahins - Coastal Sagahins. That should clarify for you.

Straight from the monsters link on the SSG page...
Seems pretty clear to me. In fact nothing is listed in the normal monsters as True Sight. So I'm not sure what kind of crack you're smoking, but where can I get some? Do I have to be a member of the Knights?

Glad you've found some fun around the place. I trialled LoTR when it first came out and it sucked heaps then, apparently it's changed a whole lot for the better.
I've been giving Age of Conan a bash in the past few weeks too, it's very easy to get into but I've yet to get into the content which is anything else than "go and kill 5-40 of these and bring me their entrails". Hopefully it gets more interesting.
Anyways, it's sad that you've left again, missing you heaps.

Thanks mate, people to far ahead of me, having to do CoP and no one around to do it because most people had done it, ZM everybody had done, so i was pretty much stuck on me lonesome. LotR is a lot better since its release, and new content coming soon this year.
