Lol at 40 you have better things to look forward to, as those are required to do your job. Emp Pin is easily farmed if you don't mind camping the NM, or do the BCNM to get it. P.Charm is obviously worth the gil, only if your accuracy is that bad. But in the 40's i beleive you can dual wield (if you're going /NIN) Bone KNife +1 which are fairly cheap on most servers. That, plus using DEX anyway will give you some accuracy, L. Boots is some more. Brigandine is at 45 i think.

Unless you have another job to fund your stuff, farming for that is going to take a long time. At least a month. Especially if you don't already have a specific farming pattern/area that you already play. Doubley so if you have no craft or system in which to make the best use of the drops that you get.

You can always hit the main spots that everyone and their mother knows about: Beastman Blood from certain Leaches, and bats. Beastman Coins are great to steal. I would run up behind a gob, steal, then run to the zone (flee if you have to, but if not, save it). When you get Hide it's much easier as they detect and aggro to sight. I used to go to Gustav Tunnel and steal Gold (either that or mythril, can't remember which ones they have), then hide, go rest at zone, come back 5m later. it was a decent profit, especially if you camped your rabbit charm (which on alexander only goes for 150k so its easy to buy). Beehive chips, honey, crystals, silk thread, saruta cotton. All of that stuff is used in crafts and thus on semi-high demand depending on what the crafting scene is like on your server. Everyone knows about that though. The only thing YOU have to do is find a camp for it. Sure, Saruta areas are always full of armers, but you could always hit up bees in other areas too. at 45 you'll have TH2 will which help slightly.

Look at your AH and find out what sells well in stacks as far as common drops go, and look at how many sold and when. Then go farm some. If it's steady in it's sell history, you can bet that if you farm up a few stacks fast you can participate in that action too.

however if you undercut prepare to have your sales take a nose dive, as farmers want gil and the only way to get that is to make sure you supply en mass for cheaper than the competition. undercutters undercutting undercutters leads to a dead cash cow.

If you farm in low areas, pleae don't be rude and steal crawlers or any mob for that matter from someone who is trying to exp off of them. I encountered a rude player today who did this to me twice. Once I had my weapon out and was chasing it and the other time I was casting a spell on it. The person was at least in the 50s as they had an elemental staff.

Yea, I sorta agree with the above. Alot of people say "don't farm xp mobs" but I am more of the school of "don't xp off farming mobs" since that seems to be alot more considerate. Every mob in the game drops xp, but only a relative few drop items that anyone would want to farm for any extended period.

I am reminded of when I would farm spiders in boyahda back when webs were valuable, and beastmasters would be there getting mad at me for clearing the spiders out. I always figured, well, these guys drop an item I want. Every mob in the game drops xp. You should move. But strangely enough most players don't seem to see it that way.

IMO it is a thinly veiled attempt to farm while they xp, and they are mad if someone is farming against them. If you are killing something that drops something valuable, you are now farming. IDC if they give you xp or not, you are now competing with me if I am farming there. If you want to xp go kill some crabs or pugils or any hundreds of other mobs that noone will be farming.

For the OP: it is a bad idea to specifically state where to farm because you don't want it to be overcrowded, but one tip to remember is it is better to farm a less expensive item uncontested with a good/decent drop rate than it is to farm against 3 other people for something that only drops 1/20 of the time. Lots of items on the AH sell for what most would consider low amounts per stack, but when you can get 3+ stacks an hour then in the long run you are making more than you would farming the popular items. Just make sure you have a mule or two for the AH space.

Ahhh, I see your point Wenchy, I just get ticked off at low levels in Pashow screaming I am xping so go away, I do have to agree with you when it comes to starter zones, that is just rude. I wouldnt do that to anyone myself.

Yea, you are right. I should have read more clearly also. It is pretty ghetto to steal mobs in lv 1-20 zones. Ignore half of that post above in regards to those areas. I was more concerned with soloers in more advanced places.
