I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the various reasons COP got delayed. Now some of my friends and I are gamers, and I had planned a LAN/exploration Party the night the game was out, and without any warning ahead of time, those plans had to be changed. So it rained on my parade, but I got over it. But seeing with the repeated server maintenance and now the delayed shipments, and the earlier release of COP in Japan, there has been a lot of negativity about SE.

I think the PR department at SE should do this: give out Massive amount of goodies from SE:
I want a T-shirt that says I survived the FFXI Server outage of 2003. Or maybe that my copy of COP fell off the boat in Hurricane Ivan, and survived.

Anyone got any other ideas what they could do, to essentially make it up to us?

(And I know printing a few hundred thousand t-shirts on short notice isnt totally feasible, so anything remotely realistic I'd love to hear).

Uh guy.....a couple hurricanes just bashed the hell out of Florida....bunch of people dead, lots of property destroyed.....i think you can wait till friday to get your copy of a video game for 30$ and not complain about not getting any "goodies" and as for server maintinance, it happens with any MMORPG, or any game for that matter. So chill dude, you may not have your game...but at least your house wasnt blown away. Terribly sorry Ivan ruined your lan party...

Yeah, I see the Florida point. Its got to bite to lose relative and posessions. Now I hear on the news that Ivan might reform and head for Texas (where I live). For greedily thinking about the game and not others karma will bite me in the ass and prob cut our power during the new LAN party ; ;

I really just wanted an informal discussion on what kind of goodies people would want... I'm guessing I wrote too much and that message wasn't clear at all >< sorry.

I remember I got this little cast iron lightsaber thing from when I bought KOTOR; thing is probably lost somewhere, but I thought it was neat.

I have a test in about an hour and a half. I spent all freaking night reading DT7. No spoilers from me, but so far its great. My test... is going to suck.

No CoP, no DT. Oh well, at least I got mission 5-1 and AF-1 done last night ^_^

Edit: I suppose it'd be too much to ask for something with a Sandlewood grip.

I used amazon, and they got it to me the morning it came out. I also live in College Station, so its not like a major hub either. The Amazon crew usually does a great job with books, also got John Stewart's History that same morning. Good luck finding it ^^

And the Dragon Chronicles, even though they give like 500-1k xp, sounds like a great idea.

And how about Jake's key or Eddie's carved key? I'd say those would be cheap to add in, yet quite cool. Put the Mark of the Eld on one side, and the ka drawing on the other (ka drawing is an illustration in 7th book, it looks nice).

Heh yeah that would be nice, how much exp do you gain with a dragon chronicle page anyways?
