KARMA QFollow

Every post has an individual karma value. However, you have your own net value... an average of all your posts. If one of your posts.

When you post initially you are at 3.00. So your post will have the karma:

6.00/2 = 3.00 your current karma is 3.00. Every time you post a new thread, your "current" karma is added twice to that thread and overall karma. Now lets say you make a new thread that received one excellent rating.

6.00 <-- the excellent rating

12/3 = 4.00 <--- the current karma for that POST.

But add the 3.00's of your first post.

18.00/5 = 3.60 Your average karma would be 3.60. So the next time you post that post would have the karma

7.20/2 = 3.60 If this post is rated it will add into your overall karma but also effect the karma of that one post. They are two seperate values. And this is the mathematical breakdown of karma.

never mention war/whm...you get a rank down for every time you do ^^

Only thing I might add (and I could be wrong) is that I believe that 5.00 is the highest you can get on a post...

Other than that, yes... your Karma total builds up with every post... the more posts you have, the less each subsequent change to a single post will change your overall average.

Every time you post your NEW post will start at the average level that you curently hold (ie: if your current average is 3.29, your new post will be 3.29) as opposed to 3.00 where you initially were.

edit: one other thing to answer another question asked... more times than not... mentioning karma, even in a perfectly innocent and valid way will get you rated down... secondly... you're better off ignoring that number beneath your post count anyway as more people around here will happily rate you down for little to no reason than will rate up for even a valid one.
