Unable to connect to d3db.comFollow

#1 Feb 17 2012 at 2:19 PM Rating: Decent
I get a firefox can't connect error because my "Connection was reset" while attempting to load d3db.com.

I was able to access it all during the beta hours yesterday, and then once the first round of beta key access arrived this morning around 12:00 (I think, in EST) it stopped working :/

I've reset my modem/router, flushed my DNS, and restarted everything I can think of several times. Not sure where to turn. Is it possible I was banned from the website or something?

P.S. it is the only known website right now I cannot connect to.

Can I just get some kind of response lol? I've seen three different mods throughout today viewing this thread.

EDIT (for future reference): I didn't mean to make this sound like I was being a jerk.

Are you still having issues? Site got hammered really hard today but as far as we know it's working fine now.

I am still completely unable to connect.

I contacted Comcast and they explained to me that the problem is between D3DB.com and my IP. They also stated that they are unable to change my IP, until the system issues me a new one, in order to prevent abuse

What do you want them to tell you? The site works fine, whatever the issue is, it's most likely on your end.

You should be able to access the website now, but if you are doing things like using automated means of refreshing the site or holding down f5 to get a better chance at winning a key, your IP will likely be banned again as it will be classified as being abusive and is also against the rules of the contest.

As the next post points out, it was not on my end.

Thanks a lot, I was nervous I would never be able to access that site again, I love all the databases that Zam puts out!

And on a side note: Using firefox's refresh tab button is against the rules D:?

Was this ban/unban actually because it thought I was abusing refresh?
