Every day the site goes down, i wait minutes with a loading icon just to be take to a blank white page. It has nothing to do on my end, every thing works fine. But every day the site goes down.

How much longer are we going to have to deal with this?

General rule. If you're the only one having the problem, the problem's usually on your end.

Providing some info might help.

Win 7

Both FF and IE

I would use the site to look up missions, and all of a sudden it stops responding.

I click on a link and all i get is the loading icon for a while then it takes me to a blank white page.

Every day this happens the site goes down from 30 mins to several hours.

I cleared cache, cookies, history re-started my computer. Even had friends try and they got the same results.

At the time of my OP the site was down.

Ok, what kind of router (specific make, model and firmware revision)do you have between your computer and your modem? Also, are you on cable modem, DSL, satilite, or some other variant of connectivity? Also, what antivirus software are you running, and does it contain a firewall module or are you using the windows firewall?

When the site stops responding for you, if you type CMD in the start menu run bar to open a command prompt and ping torhead.com do you get any reply, or a timeout message? Also, what DNS resolver cache are you using? are you using the google DNS resolver by any chance? If so, from the command prompt, does an ipconfig /flushdns have any effect?

Have you ran malwarebytes recently, and if so, did it detect anything?

No router goes modem to computer.

Cable (Comcast)

Norton update and full scan every night while i sleep(windows fire wall off)

haven't tried a ping but will next time.

Like i said earlier i have no trouble at all going to any other other site, doing any other thing at all on the internet. Not to be a jerk but if torhead works for me then stops responding for 30 mins to hours later when i do something on my end or not the problem is most likely on their end.

Isn't there server logs for them you can check, compare them to the time stamps on my other posts.

I made a thread on the site it self asking about this problem they said all be well in a few days that was about 2-3 weeks ago and the thread was either deleted or phased out.

The problem at the moment is we aren't seeing anyone else having the same issue. I have access to a comcast connection, albiet in a different location, and I did check the site immidiatly after one of your reported outages. It was up fine for me. There is a maintenance window later on, but you aren't running into that unless the timestamps are way off. Which they shouldn't be.

At this point, it could be something odd on the server that I am not seeing for whatever reason, it could be something odd on your local comcast node thats affecting traffic to the site, whcih would be a phone call to comcast, or it could be something on your computer. Given that you are running without a router, you might as well not even have norton on your computer, so its quite possible something out their sees your computer as a jucy target and is knocking out a port that torhead needs temporarily to try and crack your security. On the other hand, Torhead should only be using port 80. so if that were the case all web pages should be down for you. All I know is at this point I cannot duplicate what you are seeing, and no one else is reporting issues at this point.

If anyone else is seeing these outages, please post here.

I don't control the forums on Torhead proper, so i'm unsure why your post there was removed, you would need to talk to them directly. Chances are it may have just dropped off the page.
