What happened to Wowhead?

The frontpage looks like this in Chrome (also in Firefox and Internet Explorer): http://i.imgur.com/96TF4.png

No browsing in the DB possible and when a query something for search, I always get a blank page with no results

I just checked and it looks fine to me (Chrome).

Do you have a plugin that might be interfering with the menus or something? Perhaps a script or advertisement blocker?

No, it worked for me fine yesterday and I haven't changed anything since.

It's also the case for wowheadnews, here a screenshot in IE: http://i.imgur.com/GIRqm.jpg
The content of the article and the comments are somehow missing.

...very wierd

Out of curiosity, and this may be a stupid thing to mention, have you restarted your computer in case some resource the site uses on all browsers has crashed?

Yeah, I just did, still the same.

In Safari in my iPhone, the site looks the same as on the first screenshot. Right now, I can't reach wowhead on my pc at all, the browser says "Waiting for wowcss.zamimg.com".

Perhaps routing problems? I'm currently in Belgium.

Do you have noscript or something similar? Any sort of blocking thing you may have, you need to let it allow zamming. It's a new server or something on the zam network.

The Wowhead devs have been informed. Would love any additional information you can provide us about your set-up.

Have done some testing...

Right now, it works on:
-my iPhone
-my notebook in Chrome 14.0.835.186 under Linux
-my notebook in Chrome 14.0.835.186 under Windows 7
-my notebook in Firefox 3.6 under Windows 7
-my notebook in Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 under Windows 7

It doesn't run on:
-my notebook in Firefox 6.0.2 under Linux
-my PC in Chrome 14.0.835.186 under Windows 7
-my PC in Firefox 3.6.12 under Windows 7
-my PC in Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 under Windows 7

Which specs of my PC do you need?

I have the same error since yesterday.

Windows 7 x64

Google Chrome 21.0.1180.89
http://lionizer.dk/wow/chrome.jpg

List of active extensions:
Adblock Plus (Beta) 1.2 (wowhead.com whitelisted)
Death to _blank 0.8
Diablo 3 (tm) toolbox 1.0.6
EverTab 3.1
FreshStart 1.5.6
IE Tab 3.6.30.1

I tried turning on and off different extensions and it doesn't seem to affect it.

I managed to get a proper page load with all the content three times this morning while force refreshing 20+ times to check with different combinations of 0, 1, many or all extensions.

It works fine in my Firefox 11.0

I updated to beta version of Chrome and flushed my cache and it started working again.
#13 Sep 11 2012 at 11:12 AM Rating: Decent
I've been getting this on and off for weeks now. Sometimes clearing the cache works, sometimes it doesn't do anything.

I've tried it on my computer in Firefox and IE, both with addons and with addons disabled, though I'm not running anything that should logically affect this. I've also tried it on my bf's computer on IE. (He runs no addons.) Super obnoxious, in particular when I'm mid-researching something.

*Edit* CTRL+F5 does nothing on any computer.

Heya guys, we found an issue at some point and has been fixed as far as I know.

Please clear your cache to rid yourself of the bad storage and let me know how it goes. :)

(CTRL + F5 resets my web page)
