Saving builds with the Rift builderFollow

#1 Feb 08 2011 at 11:52 AM Rating: Decent
I think it would be keen if there was a way to save builds within the soul template maker for the Rift game.

Currently the only way I see is to save the link to each build which results in a large list of links I have to keep up with rather than point and click access to each build here on the site.

A way to name these builds would also be great so I can organize them by type and have easily read links to each build to tweak as changes come out through the betas.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We're still in the process of getting all the features in place for the soul calculator. We have some generic names coming for each build which will help.

I'll see what we can do in a useful way to allow users to save builds and to name them. If we allow naming them, it will only show up with that name for that user. To allow a free for all that is site wide would be bad.

I don't mean saving to share them, perhaps that function already works well the way it is.

Just a way for my account to save a list

Tank (Reav/Pal/Warl)
AOE/DPS (Soul/Soul/Soul)

Where the bold text is what I named the build and next to it is the three souls contained within the build, generated by the system based on the template.

So I have a simply way of saving and bringing up builds quickly without having to keep up with bookmarks and changing those bookmarks when I edit builds.

Meh, I just have a folder of bookmarks that are appropriately named. Your idea would be pretty cool, though I think the current system is fine too.
