I would like to see a way to gift someone a ZAM Network Premium subscription. It would be WAY easier for me to do birthday shopping for the folks in my life who have...well, no life.

Haven't done it, but i can only assume the basic steps are:
1) make a wowhead account.
2) buy the premium
3) Give the code/whatever to the other person.
4) other person makes a wowhead account
5) uses code to get premium on wowhead
6) transfer premium as explained above.
Or of course you could make the second sock yourself, set up premium for it, and just send the person the log in info, and explain how to link the accoounts.
What is the intended turn around time between buying a premium sub on wowhead, and getting the email?
