Ads disappeared with chrome extensionFollow

Hi. I recently noticed the 'please whitelist us' in place of the usual adverts.
-Chrome 8.0.552.215
-win7 x64 HP

I think I know what it is though. I just installed this extension for chrome:

Now, all the extension says it does is block the common methods the major social sites try to track you and/or your browsing history. When I click on it's notification for the ZAM site, it says it has blocked google three times. I don't mind ads but I'd prefer not to be tracked and browsing history tracked all the time. If there is another way I can view ads I wouldn't mind it. It's not like it's going to help you though because I never click them. Infact, ontop of this small post please take a request to remove those dumb huge auto-play videos. I don't care about cataclysm when I am visiting the FFXIV page. It's annoying to have to scroll down almost a full page to get to any of the news articles. Almost started looking for another ffxiv site just because of it. Still looking for options. ;o
