first off id like to WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
why did u change your website around , as the saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it.
before u added wowwikki and wowhead BS to the site , you were undoubtably the best World of Warcraft site around , now its turned into a steaming pile of #$%#$%^%9. i used to be able to find whatever i needed in secodns now i cant find anything. Wowwikki was and always will be a load of crap. never was a good site, and never will be , and well the OTHER is not even good enough to mention it by name its that horible. I am very sad to see u stoop so low as to add them as affiliates to ur site. although tankspot is definate good addition but 1 for 3 may be good in baseball but not here. im close to dropping wow.allakhazam.com off my favorites.

This is pretty similar to the rant you made back in February. Two admins then asked you for your suggestions and you never took time to make them, instead coming back what, five months later just to ***** some more?

If you think some things need to be changed, calmly and coherently type out your suggestions for the changes. You'd be surprised to know that when you do that, the admins actually listen. They may not make all of the changes you want, but if you express that you liked something a certain way and enough other people agree with you, you'll find that they can sometimes be receptive to change, but you cannot make a convincing argument if all you do is *****.

Question for the admins: I wasn't aware that Wowwiki was part of the Zam network. Is this actually the case and I missed the news about it, or is the OP mistaken?

He's mistaken. We might reference wowwiki in our wiki but they are not part of our network.

That's what I thought, but I didn't want to call him out on it when it was possible I had just missed something. Thanks, Nizdaar.

I absolutely hate this new format. Everytime I go to click on a link I end up on the stupid Lucy page because now the pages don't load fast enough due to the new format. I now HATE coming onto Alla to look up stuff because it's so frustrating having to hit back and wait for the page to load fully before doing what I want. It has slowed down my search time by over 40% . There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old way. Bring back the old menu on the left side and you'll make people happy again. This top bar browser style menu is just horrible for quick and efficient searching and no my puter is not that old nor is my net slow it's just the format/language that slows down the loading i'm guessing I never had probs before. I like the new additions to the site just not that menu.

The site loads exactly the same now as it did before. Any issues with that are on your end.

As for the menu, they've already stated that they won't be changing it back, and after having time to get used to it, it's not too bad. It saves screen space for sure.

Indeed it does. I've actually gotten used to the two massive columns of solid coloring on each side of the text frame now. I'm guessing those columns are now used for adverts if you're not a premium member (or using a certain plugin).

I'd still like them to increase the mouse-over menu's size, because it's way too small for comfort with my screen's current resolution, not to mention on a laptop with those touch-pad thingies. Also, I wish clicking the menu links would simply open up the drop-down menu or sub-menu instead of directing you to an actual page. As it is now, navigating the site on a touchscreen is nigh impossible.

And I wish someone would take some time off to look at m.zam.com. It needs some love and care from a designer, because it's not really useful for cell phone resolutions. At the moment it's basically just a scraped version of this site, with way too much unnecessary information (like forum descriptions - chances are, if you're using m.zam.com, you know what the forums are for). I realize that making a database/forum site for a cell phone is somewhat difficult, but I wouldn't long for it if I didn't think it to be doable. Smiley: smile

As for the OP and his opinion that the site has turned into a steaming pile of random symbols (odd comparison, but hey), I disagree. It may not be as easy to navigate as before, nor as efficient with regards to screen space, but at least it's purrty and stuff. And a bit more up-to-date than it used to be.
