dissapearing threads on wow mainFollow

There was a thread with someone asking for advice about gold guides, saying he'd heard they were crap but wondering if any were good.

It was disappeared, so much so that I can't see it if I click the link in my post history. I'd like to request that such threads are just locked instead of just disappearing. If it's an obvious spammer or gold seller sure, disappear it, although I'd prefer to have it locked and sunk past the first page.

I'd also like to inquire as to why this particular thread was killed? was this a known spammer or something? The thread seemed fairly innocuous to me, with some good advice if anyone else was looking for how to make gold. If an OP is really bad without breaking the rules, Karma will take care of it. I've noticed this happening a few times, where threads will just disappear, seems to go counter the minimal moderation atmosphere we've had.
