We have added the ability be notified when a thread you set to be followed has a new reply. Notifications will appear at the top of any page you load, taking you to http://www.zam.com/follow.html .

Premium users:
- Unlimited number of threads
- Can automatically set a thread to follow in a preference setting that they created and/or replied to
- RSS feed of threads with new replies

Non-premium users:
- Limited to 10 threads
- RSS feed of threads with new replies

The link to set a thread to follow (or unfollow) is located to the right of the 'Reply to this' link on the first post of a thread.

Premium users can find the settings for automatically following threads in forum settings on their user page.

Sorry, but E-Mail notifications are out of the question.

Any chance you could list who made the post?

This would be icing on top of an awesome cake.

Nice feature, I suppose. The one thing I'd REALLY love, and might convince me to subscribe to premium again, is a daily digest (via email) of new posts in threads I've followed.

The (Followed Threads) link appears twice when you're on a forum's thread list rather than in a thread. (Order goes page numbers, Followed Threads, Search Forums, Live View, Followed Threads.)

Just wondering(and maybe it says when you press it) but how long does the following last? I ask because of the "10 following max" thing for non-premium, I wasn't sure if you need to manually disable threads after awhile or something.

This suggestion is Chewzer Approved.

I love the thread following already, though. Great job!

Edit: Nevermind. I'm apparently blind as a bat.

Great feature Angsty, haven't used it yet, but I can envision using this a lot. There's often specific threads I'm interested in, and I dont' always remember what their thread title was.

I have a thread listed as unknown, with no subject, and unknown poster, that points to mid=0. Not sure how it got there...

edit: ohhh, it's from trying to follow a nuked thread. Ok, nvm, nothing to see here.

;) I was going to say I thought I found all the places that could happen before going live, but yeah. You somehow hit it right between the time the nuke-a-majig was doing its stuff but before it unfollowed.
It was actually long after it was nuked.

Really? weird. In all my tests, nuking the OP immediately killed all follows of that post.
Yeah, but after it's nuked, you can follow it just fine. I'm following more than one nuked thread at the moment, as well as some that haven't been posted.
