Is this possible to fix?Follow

With all of the new layout changes, my biggest gripe at the moment is the drop down menus that only need to be moused over to actually drop down. I use IE at work, and after the first couple of days, it hasn't really been a problem. I started browsing quite a bit this weekend using FireFox, and I have gone to the freaking Asura forums more times than I care to think about. It's extremely frustrating, but I quickly realized that no one seems too keen to change these menus back to needing to be clicked on to open.

So I was confused about why it's not a problem at work, but it is at home. I figured out the issue. When looking at a thread in IE and then moving up to click the forum name at the top to get back to the main page, the link is a whole lot lower from the menus at the top than it is in FireFox:

This is quite a bit frustrating. Even more so when I have expressed problems with certain things using IE at work, and I have been told by Admins that I should switch to FireFox (which is extremely annoying, by the way, as I don't have a choice as to what browser I use at work).

Is it possible to fix this so that the same link is lower in FireFox like it is in IE?

Thanks.

are you talking about the physical location of the links?

I looked at your Screenshots. Your shot from IE shows a google toolbar between your address bar and the tabs. Could that be the reason why the IE links are physically lower on your screen?

I dont use search toolbars, so I cant compare it myself.

Fixed. IE should now no longer be creating an excessive gap there. Be sure to refresh if you're not seeing the fix yet.

Wait, what?

It was EASIER to use IE. I was hoping the link in FireFox could be lowered.

Seriously...?

ok. I guess I wasn't looking down far enough. I was just focusing on the tabs, and not the links below them.

So this has been happening to me a bit lately:

Screenshot

A couple times a day.

IE7, FFXI skin. I can't remember if it's happened to me at home on Firefox or not.

ETA: Oh, and I am scrolled all the way to the top of the screen, though I'm not sure if that would make a difference.

Looking in to it... could be difficult to pin this one down, but I got it to happen once.

I thought at first it was only when I posted in a thread, but when I clicked on this thread it was doing it already.

Fun stuff.

Edit: It appears to be happening whenever I hit the red arrow for the last post I haven't read, or when I click the time stamp on the left to take me to the last post in a thread. If I click on the thread title, scroll all the way to the bottom, then back up, it's not happening.

Hmm. It just happened after I created a new thread in the Asylum.

Just trying to help you guys figure out the pattern, not trying to get on you for it not being fixed yet.

That one was unusually difficult to find a fix for, but I think it's fully fixed now. Refresh and let me know if you're still seeing the problem.

It looks like it's fixed far as I can see. Thank you!
