Got a forum bug? some little display issue that doesn't show right? some huge security issue you noticed while checking for crumbs under the sofa? A misallignment of something? Well, Here's your chance to get it fixed.

What we need from you:

1. Description of the issue:
Be as detailed as possible. If there are repeatable steps, or links, those are a plus. Screenshots are also a plus

2. Which forum skin are you using?
FFXI, EQ, Zam, etc.

3. What browser are you using?
What make and version? Firefox 3.0b? Internet explorer 8? Chrome? etc.

4. What operating system are you using?
Windows 7, windows XP, Linux, Mac?

So, what do you get out of this?

For each confirmed bug that exists and I can verify, that you are the first person to submit, I will bestow 40 admin rate ups!!!!!!!! If we get a decent amount of bug reports (say around 30 or so) I'll see if I can't kick loose a "free premium" to random out to all who participate, but I can't promise that quite yet.

Yes, you can submit more than one bug. Yes, more than one confirmed bug will get you more than one batch of rate ups. Try to keep them focused on forum specific bugs a the moment please. If you find something that is potentially a security breach and you don't want to post it, please PM it to me instead with the subject "Bug report contest thingy"

Thanks in advance!

Administrator Kaolian

The Smiley window has never worked correctly for me, no matter which skin I use.
It always vanishes as soon as I go to select a smiley from the dropdown menu that appears when I hover over the smileys link. As an example, try hovering over the smileys and maneuvering over to the grin smiley. It takes about 4-5 tries before it stays open long enough for me to click it.

I use WAR, News, and FFXIV and it happens to me on each one.
I use Mozilla Firefox 3.
I am on Windows XP Home, but have had the issue on Professional machines as well.

Under "User Forum Settings", in the My Account page, Selecting "Read Only" doesn't seem to do anything.
I'd think it would allow people to read, but not post in my journal.

Tested with two posts, people can still post in there.
Screenshot

I don't think the OS and Browser should really matter here, but: Windows XP, Firefox 3.6.
"Read Only" doesn't seem to do anything under any skin (I've tested Zam and FFXIV skins).

Posts in private and protected Journals show up on the recent posts list when viewing someones account.

Edit: It is also possible to post in locked threads, atleast in journals, by typing out the name of the thread again or something. Thepsychoticone shows up as having posted in a thread in my journal that has been locked since day one.

Also for all intents and purposes this really shouldn't matter given the nature of bugs I have reported thus far but...

Also when browsing on my iPod touch on the mobile website I noticed today that I cannot view user image pages. I was trying to download an image for a background but kept 404ing on me. I ended up just using the regular site. I am unsure if this was a bug or intentional to steer people away from high bandwidth usage pages.

I have to reload the PM window 7-8 times on my phone in order to view it. If not it just gives me a white screen with black text of some old messages, where the only clickables are the person's name who sent me the message. This is only on page 1, and the message I was most recently sent never appears as part of the black text. Pages 2-infinity read fine.

EQ Skin, m.zam.com

Android on T-Mobile MyTouch

Angsty's worked on this before and it worked right once, but not before and never really since. At that time, he gave me m.allakhazam.com and I tried that after it didn't work-didn't make a difference.

Oh, another one. Mouseovers don't work on my phone, either. I'm guessing that's just because it's a phone.

The Bookmarks tab under users' accounts (regardless of whether it's yours or someone else's) shows "Viewing 1 to 0 of (however many) entries". The 0 is... obviously wrong. All skins, browser/OS irrelevant.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I've noticed (on every skin, no matter the browser) that if a thread is more than one page long, and you're only looking at posts on the last page, the thread remains bolded as if you haven't read it yet. The only way to make it so it doesn't remain showing as "unread," you have to visit each page in the thread, and that only lasts until someone posts in it again.

ETA: At home, when I'm using FireFox, if you only hit the little arrow to see the new post, no matter the amount of pages, the thread stays bold as "unread."

I use IE7 and Windows Vista, FFXI skin.

In the "personal account" page, whenever I click between the "account settings," "contacts," etc. links, a tiny little image shows up over the "Premium Information" link:

Should be fixed now. You may need to refresh your browser to get the fix.

When I bookmark a post, it only ever bookmarks the thread. And if that's on purpose, you're doing it wrong.

Admin edit: This was already reported and should now be fixed
